Chanel Tendresse Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Review & Swatches
Tendresse (957)
Chanel Tendresse (957) Eyeshadow and Blush Palette ($90.00 for 0.42 oz.) is a new, limited edition multi-use palette with larger-sized pans as each well is designed to be used as a cheek color as well as as an eyeshadow shade. The texture was a bit firmer compared to Chanel’s eyeshadows but denser than the blush range, I felt like it was the right mix to work well for both uses. The variation in color and depth in this quad made it quite versatile for those who plan to use it as an eyeshadow quad or like to layer their shades.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to work for both eyes and cheeks, and there weren't concrete claims made about the formula--it sounded "versatile" and could be "blended" to "soften" the effect while simultaneously being described to create effects ranging from "subtle to powerful."
Generally, the texture of the formula was firmer, denser; not to the point where it was stiff, but you would need a moderately-dense cheek brush for higher coverage. I think that the texture made it work for both eyes and cheeks, as it was easy to go in with an eye brush and pick up enough color as an eyeshadow, but it didn't feel like pigmentation-overload on a cheek brush. I also felt like the pans were a bit stiffer brand new but softened after one use.
The pigmentation was mostly semi-opaque to opaque but was blendable, which made it easy to work with on cheeks or eyes. I really thought the formula sat well on skin and had a nice, diffused and smoothing effect with minimal effort. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me before showing signs of fading (whether used as eyeshadow or cheek color).

It’s a nice concept to be able to use the product for both blush and eyeshadow! The shiny shade is pretty 🙂
Let’s hope more companies do this! And with maybe a bit more variety of colors
This would have been a FANTASTIC investment had I not been able to dupe every. single. shade. Yeah, like literally every one of them.
For those who don’t own some ridiculously incomprehensible (to most people, anyway) makeup collection, this is a very well performing multitasking quad!
This is an amazing palette that 😍!!!
I think all of the shade would have to work for you to use it a blush palette (all of them are really too dark for me) and as an eyeshadow quad, you would have to like and use these colours – which are not for me.
TENDRESSE #2 Is the color I never knew I needed! Not keen on getting a 90$ palette but excited to check out the dupes
I was not interested in buying this palette but now I am a bit tempted! The shades and the texture do look really beautiful. I don’t think I would use the reddish shades as eye shadows, though.
I’m glad this scored well but I’m even more glad that I don’t want it in the least because it’s such a struggle to purchase Chanel in person for me these days. These colour would just not work at all for me as eyeshadows but even as cheek products, 2 of the 4 shades do not work with my skin tone.
So glad this has a good review. I bought them both, but haven’t tried them yet.
