Formula Overview
$45.00/0.1 oz. - $450.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "bold color in one swipe" with a "satin" finish that has "buildable shine." The finish is described as "more reflective than a classic satin but more subtle than a high shine lip gloss."
The lipsticks were pigmented with the majority of shades yielding full color coverage in a single layer, just as marketed, and similarly, most shades applied evenly without color catching on textural imperfections or settling noticeably into my lip lines.
It had a lightweight, lightly creamy consistency that had some slip but did not feel overly emollient; it felt significantly less emollient compared to the brand's Rouge Voluptes and had about half the shine-level. They were "thicker" in feel compared to the Rouge Pur Couture range and had more shine.
They wore between four and five hours, and the formula felt hydrating over time. There was a subtle, fruity-floral scent but no discernible taste.

Rouge Provocation is a gorgeous, more “everyday” muted rosy red. It looks like the type of shade that would work well with any more neutral or warm golden/bronze look. Very sophisticated!
It lokos very similar to Marc Jacobs’ Je t’aime which is my everyday “coral red”. In fact I just submitted it as a dupe. It’s good to know there’s something that similar since Marc Jacobs makeup is no more… 🙁
Very pretty, vibrant shades.
