Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.

Look you loved this week?: I did a very light, springy look using my Natasha Denona Mini Retro palette ( Vintage Taupe in my crease, 60’s in my outer corner and lower lash line, Pixie all over my lid, Galaxia in the center of my lid, Industrial in the center of my lower lash line) with a peachy cheek using my beloved Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam topped with the duo glow shade and highlight from the ND Bloom palette. On my lips I used Revlon Super Lustrous Shine Lipstick in Nude Illuminator.

Any new or old favorites discovered?: Revlon Nude Illuminator, the ND Retro palette, ND Mini Bloom Blush, Em Cosmetics Magic Hour Blush, PMG Fetish Eyes Mascara.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: My ND Metropolis palette, the new blushes I mentioned above, ND Retro, Em Cosmetics True Glosses, and more of my Nabla palettes.

Skin tone/coloring: Light, neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair

Look you loved this week: I’ve started putting on a bit of makeup every morning just for a bit of normalcy. On the lid I used the shade Seashell from the Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette. From Kaja Chocolate Dahlia, I used Cool Khaki in the crease. Then added Marc Jacobs Highliner in Brownie along the roots of my lower lashes, Cover Girl Clump Crusher mascara, and Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil. And that’s about it. I didn’t do the rest of my face because I was just trying to copy a very subtle but pretty eye look I saw on an actress in one of those schlocky, predictable, yet oddly comforting Hallmark movies that I’ve just started watching to get my mind off of the pandemic.

Any new or old favorites discovered: Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette, an old favorite. I really like the texture of these shadows.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week? I don’t know, maybe I’ll get inspired by the eye look on another woman who falls in love with a foreign prince, or a big city woman who moves to the country and finds her perfect man, or some other silliness from the Hallmark Channel. (I can’t believe I’m watching—or even admitting to watching—this stuff! ?)

I agree, there is something comforting about the formulaic Hallmark romances. Maybe we need predictability and happy endings. I’m a retired RN and became hooked on romance novels when working in high stress areas.

UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline; smudged on upper and lower lids) and Deep End (lower waterline). Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. BROWS: Winky Lux e/s in Americano. LIPS: KVD ELL in A-Go-Go. CHEEKS — NARS Hot Tryst Palette: Bowery mixed with Friction. FACE: Boots No. 7 Airbrush Away Primer; Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Alabaster; Ben Nye Neutral Set Face Powder; Sephora Colour Contour in Tranquil; Fenty Killawatt HL in Stone Cold; CP All Star Mattifying Setting Spray.

Any new or old favorites discovered?:
OLD: Fenty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette, which I got when it first went on markdown after last Christmas. I use it more on my eyes than my cheeks, but it’s gorgeous. Stone Cold is sublime no matter where you use it.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I didn’t get around to trying the ND Mini Retro Palette last week, so I hope to next week. I hope to wear their Mini Bloom Blush, too, and my neon eyeliners from Urban Decay and LA Girl.

Ilene Avatar

Ilene- light skin( BB sand), dark green eyes and dark brown hair
Looked I loved this week was an eye look my daughter did on me yesterday using the pewterish shade from the UDVice lime green compact plus Stila black liquid liner. She’s also responsible for tweezing and filling in my brows and is very good at both. Lancome monsieur big and KA brunette eyebrow pencil.
Chanel waterlight med light- for something so sparing it still gives a bit more of a finished look and definitely blurs redness a bit. It also never breaks me out.
BB pale pink pot rouge and Suqqu moisture lipstick in shade 2 which is a gorgeous peach. I was fortunate to visit London last summer and I went to Selfridges to experience Suqqu in person. Wish it would come to the states!
I guess the lipstick was a rediscovery as I hadn’t used it in a while nor the UD shadow. The other items are in constant rotation.
I look forward to getting my sephora order with 2 Fenty cream blushes. Hope everyone is feeling well.

Your skin tone/coloring: warm brown, MAC C7

Look you loved this week?: Warm nudes on the eyes with no lipstick because my mask just rubs it off.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Milani Gilded nudes! Found on my one masked field trip out for a month. Nude golds and nude mauves! I am so impressed. My eyes have to make the statement since no one can see my full face.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?Bright lipstick! Nothing but aquaphor is appropriate inside of a mask.

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Look you loved this week?: I used Lancome’s Jade Fever – with the pale gold shade on the lid, the eyeliner teal shade right up close to the lash line, the soft green on the mobile lid and the darker green in the crease. I paired it with Foolish by CP lipstick.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Still going strong on my palette a day. So far, I have used 18 of my palettes, quads and quints. The Scenic Route by bareMinerals duo – that Spectacular shade is stunning.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I am not sure which ones I will use next week, but I still have plenty to go….

Nikki Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands. My everyday base products are Fenty-Amber Match Stick as cheek contour and Pro Filt’r concealer and Soft Matte foundation in 110.
Look you loved this week?: Friday I reopened Face Forward and recreated and adapted (used a darker blush) a look Kevyn Aucoin did for Jewel during a photo shoot. I used Kat Von D Melanie eyeshadow (from the 10-Year Anniversary palette) on the lid, Sydney Grace Robert in the crease, YSL The Shock Rough Burgundy mascara, Sydney Grace Pure Love blush, and CoverGirl x Katy Perry Katy Kat Matte Crimson Cat lipstick.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: I’m not sure if it’s a favorite yet, but the Sydney Grace Enduring Love palette (I love vivid colors, so I chose Deep despite my fair skin) has proven to be versatile and go on smoothly. YSL The Shock Rough Burgundy continues to be my neutral mascara, since I don’t like wearing black or brown mascara-the burgundy really brightens my gray eyes.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I already started using my new Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette today, and I hope to use it a couple more times this week.
