Coloring: Under my name, green eyes, s&p hair
Favorite Look: EYES—Dior Brow Styler, Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer tightlined on upper lash line, Colourpop Smoke Show palette (Ignite in crease, Night Dream on outer V, Star Struck on lid), UD 24/7 Glide-On Pencils (Desperation under outer third of lower lash line, Cuff on inner corners), Lancôme Definicils Mascara. FACE—Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, MAC Dipped in Stars blush, MAC Show Gold highlighter. LIPS—Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Virgo
Most Used Products: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Estée Lauder Knockout Nude Lipstick
Beauty Discovery: (Not so much a discovery as a warning) Do not place the MAC Star-Dipped Face compact on fabric because the rough glitter finish can damage it. I found this out when I placed the compact on my leg for a minute when I was in my car, and when I picked it up it snagged the leggings I was wearing. Yeah, I should have known better. Lol
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look from the week: EYES — UDPP in Enigma. Tarte Tarteist PRO Palette — Whimsy (crease; lower lid), Mod (deep crease; lower lid), Classic (brow bone), Glam (lid), and Drama smudging out NYX Faux Blacks Liner in Burnt Sienna (lower lashline). NYX Collection Noir Liquid Liner in Black (top lid). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper & lower waterlines). Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black. BROWS — MUG Bitten. LIPS — UD Vice Lipstick in Rebel lined with Gerard Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Cher. CHEEKS — MAC Pink Cult. FACE — E.l.f. Poreless Face Primer; Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation in F0.2, Sephora Tranquil (contour), Ben Nye Neutral Set Colorless Face Powder, City Color Cosmetics Intense Exposure Highlighting Powder; UD All Nighter Setting Spray.
Your most used product this week: Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation in F0.2, Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black (got a deluxe sample, so I’m trying it out), and my usual dailies.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I’m loving the Conceal & Define Foundation in F0.2 so far. It’s a perfect color match, has excellent coverage, and wears like iron. This might be my CF replacement for Lancome Teint Idole.
Clinique High Impact mascara is pretty good and I’m not allergic to it. I don’t think it’s outstanding or “high impact,” though. I wouldn’t pay for it over a drug store brand, but I’ll use up the deluxe sample I got.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name.
Favorite look from the week: I didn’t wear makeup even one day this week. Didn’t seem like a good idea to wear makeup while moving dusty boxes and furniture. Good news, everything out of storage so now I can go through it at my leisure.
Your most used product this week: Skin care. I do think that not wearing makeup this week has helped with my skin. After the CBD oil debacle, I didn’t think my skin would stop breaking out. I stopped using the CBD several weeks ago but for some reason the breakouts continued. I hadn’t used anything new besides the oil so couldn’t quite figure it out. This past week the breakouts have slowed to the point where I don’t have any new spots but will take quite a while for the marks to leave. I haven’t had cystic acne in my life so this was a whole new beast and the marks are terrible. I didn’t pick or squeeze them so I have a whole new appreciation for what people with acne go through. There is no way to disguise the bumps while they are there and no way to cover the marks left behind.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old) No new discoveries. I have committed to a major de-stash after getting through my boxes and I am going to get my collection down to a manageable and useable level. No more excuses, rationalization or putting it off.
I’m glad you got all the storage moved out.
What a nightmare with your skin. I’m glad to hear it’s settling down. Cystic acne is the worst.
How awful for you to have cystic acne at this stage of your life! Have you seen a dermatologist about it Deborah? I hope it doesn’t leave your skin permanently marked. I think I would be contacting the skincare brand over this too.
Congratulations on getting all your stuff out – it’s a major effort and a lot of work, especially before winter sets in for you.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, blond with blue eyes
Favorite look from the week:First look I created using Pat McGrath Ritualistic Rose. I used the bronze on the outer third of my lid, next the plum color then the gorgeous duo chrome pink with the gold as my inner corner highlight.
Your most used product this week: Ritualistic Rose – I can’t stop using it.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Ritualistic Rose was a great discovery. Unfortunately the new Shiseido foundation was a bust. No matter the primer or application method it just didn’t work for me.
I wear medium beige type of foundation shade. At the moment I’m still using Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in shade Ginger.
Favourite look – I’m panning my Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmerbrick at the moment and enjoyied it as an eyeshadow this week.
I am also panning NARS Killing Me Softly palette, Smashbox Full Exposure palette and a Laura Geller lipgloss called Melon Infusion so these are my most used products this week.
I scraped the product out of my Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick to use it loosely and it is now a beautiful bronze shade! Also I finished my lip balm yesterday and pulled a Ted Baker tinted one from my stash. This was given to me as a gift. It was in a gift set with a burgundy nail colour and I assumed the lip balm would be as dark as the nail polish but it is a beautiful berry shade, the formula is lovely when applied too.
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite look from the week: Pulled out my tried and true ABH Modern Renaissance. Set primer with Tempera. Put Red Ochre in the outer half of the eyelid. Red Venetian on the inner half. Put Antique Bronze in the crease. Blended out with Buon Fresco. Finished with Vermeer in the inner corner & blended into Red Venetian. Put Benefit Roller Lash macara and Marc Jacobs Major Volume mascara in Velvet Noir on the lashes. Wore Kiko Milano Soft Mauve blush. Fenty Lightning Dust Highlight. Too Faced Natural Lust Satin Bronzer. Wore Colourpop Lux Liquid Lip in Beast
Your most used product this week: MAC Veluxe Brow Pencil in Fling. Loreal Pro Glow Concealer. Maybelline Stay Matte Powder Foundation. Elizabeth Arden Lip Protectant. Otherwise everything else I switched up.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Found the Too Faced Bronzer at TJ Maxx and loving it!
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: I used the Rose Gold from Lorac’s Pro Metals palette, paired it with the soft taupe (in the crease) and added a touch of Amber on the lower lid for a light look. I wore my Colour Pop Gallop lippie with it.
Your most used product this week: All my staples
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Cleaning out my makeup stash, I rediscovered my old Guerlain’s Les Verts (a soft green version of Les Gris and Les Aquas that I love so much). The quad contains a cool matte brown, a soft silver, a shimmery mint green and a slightly darker satin/matte green. Quite subtle and lovely to use.
Your skin tone/coloring: above, with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Favorite look from the week: I didn’t really wear make up at all last week, as I been out with a sick kid and have been sick myself with a mystery virus and pink eye.
Your most used product this week: Just my skincare; I’ve been washing with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, toning with Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic, and moisturizing with SheaMoisture Glow Getter Pressed Serum Moisturizer and CeraVe Daily Moisturizer.
Any beauty discoveries… A bold lip does a lot to distract from pink eye!
