What were your favorites from the last month? Becca Foxglove blush, Clarins Gloss Prodige in Raspberry (these glosses were d/c’d a few years ago and it is such a shame; no idea what I’ll replace with when I finish the ones I have); BITE Gazpacho lipstick (I love it so much I’ve just purchased a full sized tube), Australian Gold tinted facial sunscreen
What didn’t impress you? I can’t think of anything but I’ve not been doing a lot of makeup shopping

Or successfully resist temptation? still thinking about that Milk e/s palette but I’m sure I won’t buy it.
What were your favorites from the last month? MAC Mineralize Blush in Sweet Enough, Colourpop Blush Stix in Mini Me, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Mushroom, Tarte Unleashed palette, UD Born to Run palette, Smashbox Cover Shot Punked palette.
What didn’t impress you? Color the World lipstick. I like the concept and packaging, but they need a new formula.
Did you return anything you purchased? No
Or successfully resist temptation? I filled my Colourpop cart several times and then stopped myself before hitting the purchase button. The main product I’m fighting myself on is the Just My Luck palette.

Jouer Tanlines, HUDA Neon Orange Obsession Palette, Milk Kush Fiber Brow Gel, Fenty Pro F’lter Powder in Butter, Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer in light blondes, Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadow in Tea Party, Kaja Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio in Rosewater, Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rush, Origins Pinch Your Cheeks Blush in Rose Dust & Kiko Milano Green Me Blush in Soft Mauve
What didn’t impress you? Sunday Riley Luna Oil. Thank goodness it was a deluxe sample!
Did you return anything you purchase? No.
Or successfully resist temptation? The other two HUDA Neon palettes. Natasha Denona Sunrise palette. Most of the Colourpop releases.
What were your favorites from the last month? I’ve been really loving the Glossier Niteshine highlighter concentrates! Also surprise favorite was the Glossier Vinylic Lip in shade Casino.
What didn’t impress you? I’m on the fence about the Kaja Bento eyeshadow trios. They’re pretty and super cute, but they don’t feel super amazing to warrant the reviews I see/hear about them!
Did you return anything you purchase? I don’t think so…
Or successfully resist temptation? I failed majorly at resisting temptation, so that’s fun. I bought pretty much everything I wanted last month and don’t regret much if any of it at all!
I like that Sydney Grace represented so well this month!
What were your favorites from the last month? Tom Ford White Suede quad, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk trio. I am very excited about all the Sydney Grace I picked up but it’s not here yet.
What didn’t impress you? MAC Love Me Lipsticks – I haven’t tried them and I will probably eat my words if I try the lipsticks, but I don’t like that it’s a whole system and “crafted lip” sounds a bit try-hard and like I’m too basic to wear such boujee artistry. I do that anyway – lip primer, lipliner, lipstick and sometimes a light, strategic patting on of gloss but that “crafted lip” crap bugs me. .
Did you return anything you purchase? No
Or successfully resist temptation? MAC Anniversary Sale Lip sets, going the next shade up for the Pat McGrath foundation – I don’t want what I’ve picked up to be too light but I do have other shades at home that can color correct and I don’t mind mixing.
SG for the win: they so deserve it. Managed not to do the XMAS in July; thanks to T, all duped on Mountain Trail. Not sure I got anything this month. Probably won’t resist the orange, green, and purple CP palettes for much longer. There is always something interesting on CP and SG. Possibly my Creed splurge..thanks, Muse… accounts for no beauty purchases. But I saved>$600 with one 17 year crave and 2 longtime loves, so, worth it. And will probably try Mariella’s Australian Gold, and maybe another Adept palette (with thoughts of depotting all UD, scary) when I order a replacement beauty mini fridge from Amazon. There’s some current press about fridges. Ulta has a small one. I’ve done it for ~25 years, and you really can prolong the life of many products, especially lipstick and tub (ugh) skincare. Chilled sheet masks and eye cream, yes, please.
What were your favorites from the last month? Missha BB cream (old fave that I repurchased), Milani Dolce Pink blush, L’Oreal matte ink in I am Worth It, LC Plushies in Lavender Honey, Becca Vanilla Quartz highlighter and Lilac Geode Glow Gloss, Your Good Skin Balancing Skin Concentrate
What didn’t impress you? Huda neon green palette. I returned it.
Successfully resist temptation? Mostly! I did pretty good during the lipstick day sales, during which I only spent $20. When my lipstick collection topped 200 and got WAY out of hand, I did a massive destash and I made a rule that if I buy a new lipstick, an old one has to go away. This has curbed my lipstick spending significantly, and it’s helped me keep my collection around 75ish. Now I need to implement this rule with highlighters.
What were your favorites from the last month? THAT I BOUGHT: Huda Beauty Neon Orange and Neon Pink Obsessions Palettes; CP Uh-Huh Honey Palette; Charlotte Tilbury Easy Portable Pocket Sized Smoky Eye Palette; Nomad Cosmetics Berlin Underground and Tokyo Harajuku Palettes; Sephora #Lipstories Lipstick in Margs; Kylie Cosmetics Metallic Lipstick in Monster; NYX Suede Matte and Pin-up Pout Lipsticks. THAT I DIDN’T BUY: Melt highlighters and blushes; Sydney Grace highlighters and blushes; CP Just a Tint Lippie Tints and Blush Stix.
What didn’t impress you? I’m happy with everything that I bought so far. I was on vacation, so I haven’t tried out everything yet. THAT I DIDN’T BUY: Jaclyn Hill lipsticks release; most of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale offerings; Lady Gaga Haus Gaga release; Huda Neon Green Obsessions Palette; Linda Hallberg Spectral Palette; MAC Cicero Eyeshadow x15 Palette
Did you return anything you purchase? No, but if I can’t repair a lipstick that arrived with a broken bullet, I’ll have to exchange or return that. (CoverGirl Verve Violet.)
Or successfully resist temptation? Tarte Unleashed 15-Pan Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette; Melt highlighters and blushes; Sydney Grace multichromes (except for Twisted Shifter to test); Melt Cosmetics Impulsive 18-Pan Pressed Pigment Palette.
What were your favorites from the last month? I have been working through my foundation samples and I really enjoyed the Fenty Pro Filt’r. I thought it was a little too matte in the winter but in summer it is perfect. I may buy the full size.
What didn’t impress you? The Sydney Grace cream shadows were a disappointment. I was hoping they would dry down fully and not travel up to my brow bone but so so.
Did you return anything you purchase? I returned one of the bras I bought at the Nordy sale.
Or successfully resist temptation? I am so far resisting a visit to Sephora to sample the PMG foundation. I have already convinced myself that price is no object for good skin.
What were your favorites from the last month? Stila in the Garden palette, City Color single in Cleo, Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions, Goldmine lipstick by EA, Foolish and Gallop lipsticks by Colour Pop
What didn’t impress you? There was nothing that I wasn’t impressed with in my stash. I haven’t bought any new eye palettes for awhile now. I have bought some Colour Pop lippies whilst they are on sale, but I haven’t received them yet and I won’t be accessing them until I return in September.
Did you return anything you purchase? No.
Or successfully resist temptation? Yes, I have looked at a few things – a bareminerals blush in my shade, but I just wasn’t sold on it; Sydney Grace eyeshadows – mainly because I do have dupes for the shades I love (damm) and Chanel’s Les Beiges – the 9 pan one – but no, I was saving up for this trip and how many neutral palettes can one have?
