Sydney Grace The Deep Love, The Scoop, Toffee Crunch Cream Shadows Reviews & Swatches
The Deep Love
Sydney Grace The Deep Love Cream Shadow ($8.00 for 0.33 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with warmer undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had rich color payoff in one layer, which applied evenly and spread well across my skin. The eyeshadow dried down quickly, but I was still able to soften the edges to blend it into other eyeshadows. The texture was lightweight, lightly creamy, and spreadable, and it didn’t emphasize my lid texture or sink into any fine lines. It lasted well for nine and a half hours before creasing slightly.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.33 oz. - $24.24 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "dry down to a smudge proof finish" that isn't waterproof but "will last all day on the lids." The brand recommends working "one eye at a time" as the formula "dr[ies] fairly quickly." It is a very pigmented formula where the merest dab of product--like as little as one can physically squeeze out of the tube--is enough for most of the mobile lid.
If you're someone who tends to use their cream eyeshadows as sheer washes of color, I think this formula is "too" pigmented and dries too quickly to make sheer application as effortless as you'd want. If you love the effect of and finish of creamier, metallic eyeshadows and want true, full coverage application, these are worth looking into. I recommend squeezing out the smallest amount of product on the back of your hand or onto a mixing palette, and then using fingertips or a flat, synthetic brush to apply to the lid. I prefer a brush as it gives more working time than when I used my fingertips.
The texture was smooth, like a liquid-cream hybrid as it wasn't runny but it was more spreadable than a cream eyeshadow you'd find in a jar. The majority of shades applied evenly to bare skin with little effort, and the edges remained blendable enough (even as it was mostly dried down) to soften and fuse with other shades. They're very lightweight and the majority of them sat well on my lids without emphasizing lines or texture (sometimes an issue with liquid/cream, more metallic products).
It didn't have that dry down that felt so set and locked in that if you kept trying to blend it out (after it was dry) you'd get flaking; these never flaked or lifted. Based on past experiences--in general with cream eyeshadows--I recommend working with your powder eyeshadows first (unless you're using it as a base), and then going in with the cream eyeshadows and going back over any areas to further blend if necessary. That being said, I was able to layer powder eyeshadow over them without them lifting or becoming patchy. They're some of the easiest cream eyeshadows I've worked with to incorporate into multi-shade looks. The wear varied from eight to ten hours on me before there was slight fading or a bit of creasing.
My only complaint is that with a six-month shelf life paired with so much color payoff... one tube is so much product. These could be sold half-sized tubes and still stretch for many, many uses. I really enjoy the squeeze-tube packaging along with the smaller opening, as it made it much easier to control than some other liquid/cream products.

The Scoop
Sydney Grace The Scoop Cream Shadow ($8.00 for 0.33 oz.) is a deep gold with subtle, warm olive undertones and a metallic sheen. It had intense pigmentation in a single layer (a little went a long way), and while using less didn’t quite give me a sheer wash of color, it did give it a lighter color, so there was a lot of depth to the hue itself. The texture was lightly creamy, spreadable, and blendable with a lightweight, quick-drying formula on my lids. It wore well for 10 hours on me before creasing very faintly.

Toffee Crunch
Sydney Grace Toffee Crunch Cream Shadow ($8.00 for 0.33 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark gold with warm undertones and a metallic finish. It had opaque color coverage in one layer, which adhered evenly and smoothly across my lid without emphasizing my lid texture or sinking into my creases as it dried down. The texture was lightweight, creamy without being too emollient or wet, and was quick to dry down (so work one eye at a time). The color stayed on nicely for 10 hours before fading slightly.

Man, Sydney Grace is absolutely killing it with these cream shadows! I’m glad you’ve been reviewing them because it’s not a brand I had heard a lot about before they popped up on Temptalia. The Scoop is very unique, but I think my favorite is Toffee Crunch. Maybe it’s just my screen but there looks to be a nice orange-y tone to the sheen which pairs beautifully with the look you created around it. Sydney Grace is quickly becoming a big inspiration for me!
Because I can totally see Vanilla Bean pairing up verrry nicely with either The Scoop or Toffee Crunch, I need one of these for a quickie summer eye look, me think!
On a side note, I now want an ice cream sundae!
This is amazing. A silicone free long lasting cream shadow at a good price point! Will definitely look into getting some sydney grace things
Wow, The Scoop is magnificent!
In a word: STUNNING! – I love all of these shades too, so beautiful. These are the kind of shades that would work with any other combinations of colours – blue, olives, taupes, neutrals.
Your eye looks are gorgeous Christine.
You gotta pick up vibrant madness and master plan as well! Those are my favs!
OMG, stunning!!! I’m breathless!
A very long time ago, Bare Minerals had these “primer shadows” that came in very tiny tubes for a pretty steep price ($23 here in Canada/$18 in the US according to a review I wrote at Makeupalley back in 2011!) They were wonderful and as soon as I saw these from SG, those popped into my mind as they were so good.
Any CANADIANS here???? Have any of you ordered from Sydney Grace and, if so, how were the charges for things like duty, GST and shipping? Did they make otherwise very affordable products suddenly a lot less “affordable”?
These cream shadows look beautiful! I’ve had SG on my radar and I may have to purchase now that they have these cream shadows on the market. Just stunning.
This whole range looks amazing and I would buy them if I thought they’d last a few years.
Your green and gold eye look is amazing! I’m loving the bright green in the crease.
Thanks, Rachel!
The Deep Love is really stunning!
