Best & Worst of MAC Strip Down Collection

MAC Strip Down Collection includes 17 shades (a few are repromotes but are now part of the permanent range) to create a more well-rounded selection of “nude” lipsticks for all skin tones. There are also new glosses, which I also reviewed and are included in this round-up!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I got Bad ‘n’ Bare and S’Sexy out of this collection. They are both beautiful warm nudes. So glad they are permanent shades.

Some really nice nude choices here. I feel like if they were truly going for a complete “natural” nude line they should have had a few mauves (that’s the actual color of my lips). But I’m not complaining.

MAC did a good job extending their nude lipstick shade range in order to give everyone a perfect nude lipstick or two! Very glad to see shades other than various hues of beige being classified as nude finally, too. Bravo, MAC!

As for my own picks, I am thrilled about them making Among The Fireflies permanent! It is one of my top nude shades for myself. Others I’m looking forward to getting at some point are Pretty Peppa, Smoked Almond or Good Form, and S’Sexy. Although, I really do love Oh, Yes Baby on myself after lining my lips, I worry that it could be very short wearing.
