Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favourite look from the week: I used my Naked 1 palette a lot this week – one of my favourite looks was Half Baked on the lid, with Toasted on the lower lid and Smog in the crease. I was aiming for a soft look.
I paired it with Clarin’s Joli Rouge lipstick in Spicy Cinnamon

Your most used product this week: All my staples, plus Naked 1 and Spicy Cinnamon lipstick.

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Just how beautiful and versatile Naked 1 really is.

Skin tone: Very fair with neutral undertones, brown eyes and grey hair.

Favorite look: I used the Emme Cosmetics Spring Garden palette all week so I did a plethora of very colourful looks. I think the look I liked the most was the boldest look. I used all of the purple shades on the mobile lid and the matte green in the crease. I used the gold shimmer on the inner corner and the peach shade to blend out the green crease shade. For blush I used the Chantecaille Butterfly blush and ColourPop Alchemist on the lips.

Most used product: The above mentioned eye shadow palette, blush and lipstick. I just love the ColourPop Alchemist lipstick.

New beauty discoveries: Well, besides the fact that a 65 year old woman can wear a very bright, colourful eye look and not look too garish, I also used a technique that Karimma McKimmie outlined on her YT channel. It is a technique for applying eye liner for very hooded eyes. It involves starting the line from the lower lash line and then meeting it with where the upper lash line would be. It actually works really well. I don’t use a liquid liner but a pencil or a dark shadow to get a softer look.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde and blue strands.
Favorite look from the week: Friday-Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Ivory concealer, Fenty Match Stick Amber in the hollows of my cheeks, Fenty Pro Filt’r 110 foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay Paaarty blush, Too Faced Trixie shadow from my lashlines to just below my browbones, Too Faced Shady Bitch shadow from lashline to crease, Hard Candy Ginormous Lash Purple Haze mascara, Revlon Super Lustrous Paparazzi Pink lipstick, Marc Jacobs Enamored Ch-Ch-Changes lip gloss
Your most used product this week: My e.l.f. blush brush-normally I’d use the little freebie one that came with my L’Oreal True Match blush, but the L’Oreal brush’s bristles are falling out, all in one clump. The e.l.f. brush seems to be of quite similar quality for product dispersal, despite being several times larger than the L’Oreal brush.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I’ve once again confirmed that my favorite color, purple, looks great on me.

My skin tone is fair/ medium, unfortunately I have oily skin ( getting better with Retin A and minocycline)
My fave look was the kaja eyeshadows , definitely going to pick sone up. This week I used my rms midnight hour luminizer and my kkw glam bible highlighter equally . I definitely used the new Marc Jacobs gel eyeliner everyday and it’s amazing. I have had it before and I recalled it smearing a lot. I don’t know if they changed formula but I definitely didn’t have that problem! I also bought the chanel opal highlighter which is gorge !!! I wish it wasn’t so expensive, we will see how long it lasts.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes

Favorite look from the week: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. MAC Shiny Pretty Shadow in Make a Wish (foiled on lids). Revolution Beauty Revolution Reloaded Palette in Visionary: 15. Matte sandy copper (crease) and 13. Shimmery pale champagne gold (brow bone); NARS Dual Intensity Shadow in Hydra smudged over UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Mars (lower lashline); ABH e/s in Love Letter (brows). Physicians Formula Eye Booster Lash 2-in-1 Boosting Eyeliner & Serum (kitten flick liner, top lid). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline). Pacifica Dream Big Mascara. LIPS — UD Vice Lipstick in Sheer Rapture. CHEEKS — Buxom Wanderlust Primer-Infused Blush in Seychelles and Becca Light Chaser Highlighter in Opal Flashes Jade. FACE — E.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer; Sephora Tranquil (contour); Becca Opal Flashes Jade; e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.

Your most used product this week: E.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer + usual dailies; MAC Shiny Pretty Shadows; L’oreal Revitalift Triple Power Deep-Acting Moisturizer

Any beauty discoveries (new or old):
*E.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer — I’m not really seeing a difference between this and their Mineral Infused Face Primer. It’s a good primer, but I don’t know that it’s especially hydrating. Still, it’s playing better on my dry/oily cheeks than NYX Angel Veil has been. I’ve fully hit menopause now, but I’m also experiencing a health problem, and I’m not sure which, or if both, is/are causing the dry cheeks. I also don’t know whether the dry-yet-oily cheeks are going to be permanent. The rest of my face is still oily. *sigh*

*MAC Shiny Pretty Shadow in Make a Wish and Becca Light Chaser Highlighter in Opal Flashes Jade complement each other really well.

Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair

Favorites Look: This week, instead of listing my favorite look of the week (which has been pretty much the same as it has been for the past couple months) I’ll write about a look I did that was very different from my norm—not my favorite of the week, but I was surprised at how much I liked it, considering I used products I haven’t been happy with in the past. EYES: Smashbox Vlada Petal Metal Eye Palette (Nude Rose in crease, Rose Rocked on lid, Coffee Blossom in outer V, Opal Rose on brow bone), Diorshow Brow Styler, Cover Girl Total Tease Mascara (I will not be buying this one again). FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Smashbox Vlada Petal Metal Highlighter in Rosemantic used as blush. LIPS: Sephora Lipstories in Brunch Date

Favorite Products: Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst. Also, MAC Blotting Powder (which I only use for touchups during the day if my nose or chin start to get shiny)

Beauty Discoveries: More of a realization than a discovery…I looked back through my purchasing records and found that I’ve been using the same bottle of RCMA No Color Powder just about every day for the past 21 months and I still have enough left to make it through at least another 2-3 months. What a bargain at $12 per bottle! (I use Laura Mercier Translucent Powder for evening looks, but RCMA is my everyday daytime powder). I will definitely be repurchasing RCMA No Color Powder when I run out.
