Violet Fury is a rich purple with cool undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single stroke, while the lipstick felt creamy and smooth, which made application a cinch. The color went on fairly evenly without dragging on my lips, but there was enough slip that a touch of product gathered in my deeper lip lines, and it didn't adhere quite as easily to the inner area of my lips (but most of it did, so it wasn't glaring). It wore nicely for almost seven hours on me, and the formula felt lightly moisturizing.
