Editor's Review

It's supposed to have a "petal-soft matte finish" with "mega rich color" that is long-wearing and will not bleed or feather. They are creamy, smooth, and velvety without being heavy. The majority of shades applied evenly across the lips, never skipped, and didn't get into my lip lines. I do not normally experience feathering/bleeding, and I did not experience either with this range.

Most of the shades were very pigmented with true, one-stroke pigmentation, which was particularly impressive for some of the more non-traditional shades in the line-up. They're a soft matte--matte without being flat but not truly glossy or shiny--and have good wear time (four to eight hours, depending on the shade) and were mostly non-drying.

Worth noting is that these are in a slim-style bullet, which means that they don't contain as much as traditional lipsticks do--these contain 0.06 oz. and retail for $18.00, which yields a cost of $300.00/oz. If you're not someone who tends to finish their lipsticks, paying less is often a better "value" than paying more and not using what you paid for.

A few comparisons: NARS Audacious Lipstick ($242.86 oz., $34.00/0.14 oz.), Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($173.33/oz., $26.00/0.15 oz.), Pat McGrath Matte/LuxeTrance Lipstick ($271.43/oz., $38.00/0.14 oz.), Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme ($250.00/oz., $30.00/0.12 oz.). Fenty's slimmer tube seems to contain less than the average slim-style tube, too (typically 0.07 oz. to 0.09 oz. but rarely below 0.07 oz.).

Very pretty shade! These lipsticks are tiny, though, so be prepared. I don't think they're amazing enough to pay the full $18-20 but since I got them on sale, I think the price fits the quality. These don't ever dry down, you get the tiniest amount of product, and they transfer very easily. You definitely need to keep this on hand because just talking makes it fade. So, that's why I say this was for paying the $5, but definitely not close to $20. The colors are beautiful and rich in pigment, but I have found a ton of drugstore lipsticks that meet the same descriptions plus more. Bottom line: buy on sale only.

It loses half a star for being SO small. This is like a mini size. I should have checked, but I assumed it would be like the satin line. I got a few of these lipsticks on sale. If I paid full priced I’d be so mad. And I’d only be mad because these colors are beautiful and I use them way more often than my other lipsticks. On Sephora’s website and the actual Fenty website, the shades are as close to accurate as possible. The application on the woman on this page is close, but it’s not as bright in person. It’s a TINY bit darker and a little more muted in person. The formula is great as it isn’t drying and it does last a decent amount of time. This does transfer, though. It’s a lot more matte compared to a lot of bullet lipsticks that claim to be matte. That being said, I’d say it’s a creamy matte. I love the four colors I bought and will definitely buy more as long as they’re on sale.

So pretty but not matte at all. These are also very tiny! I originally bought the Juicy Satin one in Poutsicle from Fenty, and that one was a normal-sized lipstick but just had a different shape. I thought this line was going to be the same as the Satin but just matte. Nope. I got them on sale for $5 each, so I bought 4. They all went on beautifully with lots of pigment, but they were definitely showing as a cream finish. None dried into a matte either. These did transfer easier than I’d hoped especially for being an $18 lipstick that’s only the quarter of the size of a normal bullet. I would have been upset if I paid full price, but I’m very happy with all four shades because the tiny amount is worth five bucks and no more.

A lovely, froggy green. I really love it for when I'm feeling the fun colors. It's definitely not an everyday shade for the average person. My one big gripe with the formula is that it tends to fade and wear off fairly quickly. I'd prefer not to reapply so often.

Very unique colour that's surprisingly opaque and smooth even on pigmented lips. Obviously doesn't wear down well since pink lips will show through as the creamy lipstick wears off. But while it's there it's pretty amazing and very comfortable.

If I know that I am going to be out and about all day, THIS is my go-to lipstick. Spanked wears beautifully for hours upon hours. I received a compliment on it saying that it was the perfect color for me, followed up by "How long have you had it on?" When I told her five hours ago, her mouth dropped! She said it looked like I JUST applied it! It is very comfortable to wear, and glides on easily with full opacity in a single stroke. I don't know if others have this problem, but I have had the cap come off in my purse several times now, so I wish it was a little more secure.

Ma'damn is one of my favorite lipsticks I own. This lipstick applies so easily with full coverage and pigmentation in a single stroke. It is comfortable to wear and feels very natural on the lips. The small size of the lipstick works for me as I find it helps with application, making it easier to get into the corners of my mouth. I do think it is a little messy when it comes to cleaning it up if I make a mistake applying it, (I am still new to wearing lip products so maybe this isn't the case for others), and there can be a slight stain left behind.

I really like this lipstick and the colour is nicely in between a mlbb and a bold colour. So it's not light enough to be boring but very easy to slap on for a slightly elevated look. It's not quite pink and not quite mauve and it's lighter than most plum or burgundy colours. It's very creamy and comfortable to wear. It is however not transfer proof. So tea cups, babies and cats will get some lipstick on them. The colour does however fade gracefully and didn't go patchy.

I'll be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first, but I took a chance on this new lip color. When I look at it in the mirror, it looks very weird on me, but when I take photos- it is amazing. I'm a teacher and my students who notice EVERYTHING- noticed my new lip color. I've received many compliments and the most special was from my friend's 10 year old- who said, "that looks really nice on you."
