It’s a multi-colored face powder that is primarily driven by the white, which seemed to dominate the pink and green (the red stripes on the pins are oversprays), even though the pink and green appeared to go through. The texture was smooth, moderately dense, and blendable on the skin, while it is rather pigmented. It has a strong white base to it, so it may not work on all skin tones. It applied well to the high points of the face and did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. The powder lasted for eight hours on me before visibly fading. This shade is part of the It’s a Strike collection, which launches August 18th.

It just looks so cute 😀
That seems to be how most people feel about it!
My exact thought verbatem.
Oh shoot – I was hoping this would be cr*p and so I wouldn’t want it. I thought the look of the compact was cute and novel; now, to top that off, it’s also good and so it’s one more temptation. It’s not even a week since I decided to try a no buy and already I’m weakening. Somebody stop me before I buy again!
You can resisttt!!
I have GOT to get this! I love the cute pattern and I’ve been very into whiteish highlights lately!
Hope you can get it, Kat!
Hmm…this is a little lighter than I would normally like my highlighter to be. I’m afraid this might come off ashy on my NW50 skin.
I would be worried about this on darker skin tones as well for that reason 🙁
Looks like it serves more like a highlight since it has more white?
Yes, it is a highlighter!
I was wondering if the pink and green went through. 😉 I surprised by the fact the white is the dominant colour of this powder.
I’m actually surprised that Becca Pearl is less shimmery. 😉 But I just got a full size of Pearl so I’m good.
I think I swatched it three or four times in an effort to see green/pink come through, but the white base is strong in this one!
I remember the other Pearlmattes MAC put out through the years behaving similarly. The Archie ones did pick up the year colour slightly but not strongly. The Cake ones pretty much look the same no matter what shade you tried to blend in one the over spray was gone.
WTH, where’s the pink??? I thought his was going to be mostly pink! I don’t even bowl, but I think the owling pin embossing is super cute, and was going to get this, but this powder is going to look too chalky white against my skin 🙁 I can’t justify this, would be a museum piece, pretty to look at, but not used. Aaaarrrghh!!
It’s surprisingly white-based! I think perhaps the lightness of green also contributes to canceling out some of the pink.
Green cancels out red, so that makes sense.
I just love the design and the glow but that white base scares me lol. It looks beautiful on you but I’m going to pass on this one
I hear ya, Fancie! It seems like the white dominates over the green/pink!
Adorable! And obviously functional as well. I really do like this even though it probably would run a bit light on me. But I sometimes like a very strong highlight! ?
It is very light!
I like the effect, soft white with a hint of pink and yellow to balance the complexion. I can’t tell if I love or hate the packaging/design. Leaning towards hate.
Aw, bummer!
It’s super cute, but I do not buy unless I am going to wear. I know I couldn’t not bring myself to touch this if I owned it. Pass. 🙁
That’s a good policy to have 😀
I feel the same way – which is unfortunate because I think this might be the perfect highlight shade for me. I have several of the dupes Christine mentioned – can I possibly just be happy with those?
I’m not TOO impressed with the color…, but I’m going to be buying this because the Big Lebowski is my favorite movie. I was quite disappointed that none of the products were named from that though. Would have bought all the pieces if that was the case.
I hope you love it when you can try it, Lizzi!
I like the color and the design, but I’ve seen pictures where this powder shattered along the lines of the design. As much as I drop things, I’ll be skipping.
Oh no!!
I’m not… bowled over.
*bows*
Hahaha!
I’m not either, even though white based highlighters are right up my alley!
*cringe*
A++++ Haha
I don’t know how I feel about this one. Unique and kinda cool but the bowling theme does nothing for me. And I hate over sprays that disappear as soon as you use it once!
I wish the green/pink did more to the overall color! Maybe even a pink-green duochrome.
Darn this is adorable…do I want it ? YES Do I need it ? No, oh well
Aww!
Looks really good but how can I use it and destroy it even if I buy 2.
You should see some semblance of design for awhile, at least, with this product!
This is very much a want but not need. I have enough highlighters to last a very long time, and this is so cute it would be hard to actually put a brush to it. Very undecided. Good thing there’s time to think. Leaning a bit to the pass side, really trying to be practical here!
Good luck figuring it out, Helene 🙂
I certainly don’t need this – but it’s so cute…and shiny. I’ll probably pass but had it been pinker I would have thought seriously about purchasing it.
I think if the other colors came through more, it would be more interesting in a sea of highlighters!
I… I think I need this! My first reaction was “Bowling?! That’s so lame!” but I like this!
Enjoy it, if you get it, Melissa!
I love this, it’s so cute! I too am surprised at how white the result is on the skin. I already have Becca Pearl so I’m pleased I’m not missing out but this is a pretty design!
It is a nice design, and I’m glad that it had a good texture, at least!
It’s cute, but it’s a pass for me. I’m leaning towards the lip glosses. Too much is rolling out right now!
When is there never too much launching? LOL!
Cute – collectors will be rubbing their hands gleefully 🙂
More than likely!
I really love this one, first because of the design and now I imagine this white beauty halo all over my face and I fell in love…but I am a NW25 annnnnd I don’t know if it will fit my yellow skin tone 🙁 🙁
Oh My God, I love it.
I live in a very small european country, where there are only a few beauty bloggers that write about new collections before they show up in the stores.
So I always really look forward to your reviews.
I think I would really like this.
I have pearl blossom and I love it. But I hit pan already, so I want a new beautypowderish thing and I think this might be the one for me.
I am really sorry for my bad English though, It isn’t my native language. I hope you understand what I wanted to say to you.
Thanks for the
hi there gals.I bought it and I love it.I am very light skinned gal with green eyes.A very little pink does shine through. Its more pink then the Mary Loumanizer highlighter. I love it! it is not a blush though.
