When it comes to thinking of New Year’s Eve looks, I always think gold, silver, and GLITTER! Today’s edition of Five Ways features a few fun shades of silver 🙂
I love Cosmo! Super festive indeed.
It is!
I swatched S&M in store and it’s been on my wishlist for a while. Hmmm that sounds kind of kinky 😉 Anways, my fave silver is Dior Mono Fusion Aventure, love to pop it on top of a smoky eye to add some crazy sparkle
I was very close to including one of the Dior eyeshadows!!
“50 Shades of Silvery-Gray”…coming soon to a bookstore or cosmetics counter near you! 😉
LOL
Zoya Cosmo could work for me! Silver makeup is quite difficult for me to pull off, with few exceptions. Like glitter nail polish, and UD Verve, Pistol or Armor eyeshadows are about as silver as I can do. Perhaps because those are all “warm” silvery shades. And yet I wear 2 silver rings 24/7, usually wear silver earrings too, I don’t get it?
Pewter/taupes, it seems like!
Perhaps it’s the true shine of silver that helps?
I believe that’s probably true, the true, pure shine is what makes it work. In all honesty, gold jewelry does look a bit nicer on me, but I love silver, white gold and platinum better for the clothing styles I usually go for. I cannot wear light heather gray clothing, but especially tops are a huge NO for me.
Static Age and S&M are really nice!
They are!
I don’t have any of these, though I do have some silver glitters. They’re fun for the inner corners of the eye (eye-safe only, of course). I really need to expand my silver makeup wardrobe. I wear silver jewelry a lot, but I tend to go more for golds on my eyes. ColourPop Liberty is so pretty, though, it makes me want to wear silvery lids.
How funny! Nancy was just mentioning how she doesn’t like silver makeup so much but wears silver rings herself!
I’m glad I’m not the only one! I think golds are more flattering with my eye color, I guess.
LOL! Rachel, I do exactly like you do: mostly silver jewelry, but makeup, not so much!
Nothing wrong with mixing metals nowdays, right? lol I’m glad to hear at least someone else does this.
Nothing beats S & M for me! The Dior Mono one is pretty, jolly good too.
Yay!
My favorite (and only, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less wonderful) silver product is ColourPop Liberty. I like to use it as a winged liner (perfect for the holidays, I think) and it almost looks like actual silver foil. Other than that, I rarely wear silver since I’m so warm-toned.
Liberty has a great sheen to it!
