Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

What’s been in your rotation the most this week? Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation in 140 Ivorie (N), because I had a terrible hormonal cystic acne breakout all over and under my chin. I had to hide that sh*t. Tarte Amazonian Blush Color Wheel Palette. Medusa’s Makeup Body Shimmer in Healthy (used as a face highlighter).

What caught your eye? The Kat von D Metal Matte Palette; I ended up ordering it. Notoriously Morbid’s LE Halloween Collection. I overslept this morning and it sold out, but I was able to grab the new pressed eyeshadow palette by itself. The MAC Liptensity collection, especially the brights such as Hellebore and Ambrosial.

I’ve been obsessed with cocoa browns in makeup this week, and have been “shopping my stash” to discover browns all over again. Cocoa brown in glossy or matte finish, with gold or silver shimmer, or combined with warm rose or berry.

Most worn fragrance: Philosykos by Diptyque. I have compared the EDT vs. EDP more closely now and find they last the same amount of time on me, but the EDT has a more watery-juicy quality and needs more sprays, while the EDP has a dry and dusty fig leaf aspect as well as a tad more coconut. I like them both.

Cocoa browns in all forms – e/s, l/s, blush-bronzer. Mostly discontinued or limited edition — except for recently purchased Nars pencils in Bahama and HetLoo. Bahama is a little rosier, HetLoo is a bit deeper and more defined. Love Nars pencils!

In my rotation this week, I have forced myself to stick to one eyeshadow palette, with crease, transition and so on from other sources, Tom Ford Seductive Rose, I still have problems with the shimmers, applying them with finger, no blending, still doesn’t work. I’m beginning to think I’ve either got a bad batch, or I’ve had greasy fingertips when using the shimmers. The two satiny colours are really nice, though, but as I only use them it is by far my most expensive palette ever. What else… Illamasqua Hussey blush, a lipstick I got in the latest Glossybox from Bare Minerals, quite lovely.
What caught my eyes, Kat von D Metal Matte Palette and the Liptensity Lipsticks from MAC.
