The Super Shock Cheek formula is supposed to be buildable with sheerer coverage when used with brushes and richer coverage when applied with fingertips. The texture of this was very smooth, and it felt wetter than past iterations of this formula. It was intensely pigmented when applied with fingertips, but it blended out easily and could be buffed out if over-applied. When I used a synthetic stippling brush with it, the color was definitely sheerer but blended better with fingertips than a synthetic brush. While it is a cream-based product, it dries down to a more powder-like finish and was never tacky or glossy on the skin. It wore well for over nine hours before starting to fade on me.

Such a pretty color. Possibly too dark for me, but going for it anyway since it can be sheered out and the price point is so friendly to experimentation.
You can definitely sheer these out – that’s the nice part about the formula: very forgiving!
Yep, as soon as I saw the initial swatch of Bardot, I thought, “dang, that reminds of me some Chanel blush” but I couldn’t place it. But I ran to the CP website, threw it into my cart, along with a bunch of shadows, and hit purchase. So glad to see it’s a dupe for Chanel Evening Beige, which I couldn’t justify spending $45 for, but $8 for 95% dupe? Hell yeah! “Close enough” for me.
Haha! 😉 That’s awesome that this will get you close enough to Evening Beige for your liking 😉
First; I must tell you, this entire look you got going on here is just beautiful! And autumnal, but with some summer whimsy as well.
I really might have to grab up Bardot while I wait for the reissue of the *real* Taraji Glow to those of us who received the wrong shade. But I already know I will love my eventual TG more!
Thank you so much, Nancy! 🙂
When is it coming? They did a good job with that goof. Trying to set a 2 dupe rule. If I have 2, I don’t need it. That doesn’t mean I don’t want it. This, and the whole 16 CP fall show is just wonderful!
This is a beautiful blush. I had to pick it up!
Can’t wait for you to get yours, Jessica!
This is lovely! I like the pinky-red and gold shimmer.
Me too! 😀
Ooooh, I love this! Can’t wait for mine to arrive 🙂
As an aside, I found the standard blush colours from Colourpop became stiff to work with and seemed to dry out faster than the cheek highlighters – did anyone find this or is it just me?
I haven’t noticed drying out, but the ones I revisit the most are the more shimmery ones, which felt wetter to begin with.
Yes. I just noticed that the other day with 2 of my cp blushes. I have prenup and cruel intentions and they both have a very thick like paste feel to them now. The edges are dried out, and the texture is definitely not the same as the 2 cp highlighters that I purchased at the same time.
So it’s not just me! I have Prenup and Cruel Intentions as well and they’re both so dry – the CP highlighters I bought at the same time (‘cos international shipping is like, whoa!) are still the same consistency though. I’ll see how Bardot lasts!
Pretty! I love Sookie on you too.
Thanks, Erin!
Can this be used as an eyeshadow? The colour is stunning..
In theory yes, but I’m not sure if the ingredients are eye safe!
Looks very pretty. I might order this one! Thank you Christine
No problem, Ana!
I absolutely love this color! I’m curious to see how this formula would hold up on my oily complexion.
Hopefully someone with oily skin can help ya out!
Oh, this is very pretty and perfect for fall! I hope this makes its way into the permanent line soon.
It is SO fall-esque!
I love dramatic blushes! And your makeup looks good Christine! Keep up the good work?
Thanks, Tiffany!
OMG, that’s gorgeous!
It’s such a rich shade!
I bought it. I think they nailed a perfect fall shade with this one.
I totally agree, Kristi!
This blush formula just looks fabulous! So natural. You’re whole look is, of course, stunning! 😀
What a stunner! Would love this as an eyeshadow color too, actually 🙂
Definitely getting this in my next order! I think it would be just so pretty on the eyes too. I love colors like this way too much for my own good.
Yay! Hope you love it, Kayle!
Ughhh, I might have to cave and buy this one! I’ve been eyeing this one since it dropped, and their blushes are one of my favorite formulas- so long lasting and pigmented at a low price!
It’s a nice one! Happy to hear from a fan of the formula, as they wear really well on me, too!
