The Super Shock Cheek formula is supposed to be buildable with sheerer coverage when used with brushes and richer coverage when applied with fingertips. The texture of this was very smooth, and it felt wetter than past iterations of this formula. It was intensely pigmented when applied with fingertips, but it blended out easily and could be buffed out if over-applied. When I used a synthetic stippling brush with it, the color was definitely sheerer but blended better with fingertips than a synthetic brush. While it is a cream-based product, it dries down to a more powder-like finish and was never tacky or glossy on the skin. It wore well for over nine hours before starting to fade on me.

Yep, as soon as I saw the initial swatch of Bardot, I thought, “dang, that reminds of me some Chanel blush” but I couldn’t place it. But I ran to the CP website, threw it into my cart, along with a bunch of shadows, and hit purchase. So glad to see it’s a dupe for Chanel Evening Beige, which I couldn’t justify spending $45 for, but $8 for 95% dupe? Hell yeah! “Close enough” for me.

When is it coming? They did a good job with that goof. Trying to set a 2 dupe rule. If I have 2, I don’t need it. That doesn’t mean I don’t want it. This, and the whole 16 CP fall show is just wonderful!

Ooooh, I love this! Can’t wait for mine to arrive 🙂

As an aside, I found the standard blush colours from Colourpop became stiff to work with and seemed to dry out faster than the cheek highlighters – did anyone find this or is it just me?

Jo Avatar

Yes. I just noticed that the other day with 2 of my cp blushes. I have prenup and cruel intentions and they both have a very thick like paste feel to them now. The edges are dried out, and the texture is definitely not the same as the 2 cp highlighters that I purchased at the same time.

So it’s not just me! I have Prenup and Cruel Intentions as well and they’re both so dry – the CP highlighters I bought at the same time (‘cos international shipping is like, whoa!) are still the same consistency though. I’ll see how Bardot lasts!

Ughhh, I might have to cave and buy this one! I’ve been eyeing this one since it dropped, and their blushes are one of my favorite formulas- so long lasting and pigmented at a low price!
