Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! My skin tone/coloring: light to medium with warm undertone

Favorite look you worn: Cross between Chanel Empriente du Desert or Codes Subtils ( washed my brushes this week on a Wednesday night instead of my usual Sunday night, so I changed my ‘look for the week’ mid-week).

Most used product of the week: VB x EL Modern Mercury Highlighter

Any new beauty discoveries: Concealer – I haven’t been wearing any under my eyes lately and this week started using it again. I am out the door by 6:45 ish a.m. with a full face, and don’t get home until 5:30 or 6 most nights. I had glanced in the mirror to re-apply lipstick late afternoon/early evening and my makeup still looked completely intact, flawless even. I went without concealer over the summer and just thought I didn’t “need” to wear it; I don’t but it makes all the difference in how my makeup looks at the end of the day. If I still want to look “ready” at the end of a long day, I’m wearing concealer under the eyes.

My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool

Favorite look you worn: Clarins Ombre Matte in Earth as a base, with Burn from the Gritty and Glow shadow pressed on top and Riff on the inner corners, Marc Jacobs black Skinny Liner to tightline upper lids and Sephora Cappuccino pencil to line, with Earth pressed on top under my lower lashes, Dior Rosy Glow blush and Lise Watier Mary Supreme lipstick (the perfect autumn red)

Most used product of the week: Dior Rosy Glow blush and MUFE Nudes You Need palette

Any new beauty discoveries: – a bad one….that GOSH Cosmetics are being discontinued from Shoppers Drug Mart stores. Everything is 50% off, which is good but the bad is that it won’t be available any longer and there are quite a few GOSH products I will miss.

My skin tone/coloring: Medium w olive undertones MAC NC37 or Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite look you worn: A peacock smoky eye using Prank and Deep End from UD Spectrum palette, blended out with some MAC Copperplate, KVD Stone and Jet from Metal Matte to deepen crease and “marry” Copperplate with Prank, Fenty Sublime over Nyx Glitter Primer on inner 2/3 of lid blended into Deep End, Fenty Milky Way on inner corner, Prank and Deep End on lower lashline, my usual black wing on top lashline. This needs a repeat performance with PICS next time! The rest of the look was kept subdued with a peachy nude lip and dusky peach cheeks.

Most used product of the week: Fenty Galaxy Palette! So far, I am loving this experiment with it. Wasn’t so sure I would, either!

Any new beauty discoveries? Glitter lids at 58 y.o.; Oh, yes I CAN! Done as accents or just on my rather occluded mobile lid, this does not look ridiculous or juvenile at all. It’s all about placement and what one pairs with these type of shadows. And glitter primer or a damp brush prevents that whole “18 and just got out of a concert, yo!” type of look!

skintone: MAC NC23. Light with prominent warm undertones!

most worn look: I’v been doing very basic looks this week!! Lots of warm mattes in the crease, with MAC woodwinked on the lids. and BITE beetroot (dark burgundy) or jam (dark purple) on the lips!!! 😀

most used product: Versace Bright Crystal Perfume, Sephora Wonderful Cushion foundation, BITE amuse bouche lipsticks!

Skin tone: Very pale with very cool undertones. MAC NW5-10.

Favorite look this week: It was a really simple look. I used Tom Ford Platinum all over the lid and up into the crease. I used Nabla Crème Eye Shadow in Caffeine to blend out the Platinum in the crease and above. I added a little of a black shadow in the outer V to deepen the look and tapped a little Australis Metallix Eye Shadow in Gold Gaga onto the center of my mobile lid. The Australis Metallix shadows are beautiful but they do have a lot of fall out so I use both a tacky base and a glitter glue. The two colors that I have are worth the effort and down the road I may look into getting more. My favorite foundation of all time, Chosungah 22 C & T Luminous Blend in Porcelain makes my skin look so luminous and has just the right amount of peach to match my natural under tones. I am so thankful to CeeBee for getting it for me. I used the Becca Afterglow Palette for both highlighter and blush. The lipstick I used was MAC Twig.

Most used product: Aforementioned foundation from Chosungah 22.

New beauty finds: None this week.

My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favourite look you worn: I used the Lorac Pro Metals palette: graphite and a touch of onyx in the crease, colbalt on the lid and amber above the crease. I loved it.

Most used product of the week: It’s been a pretty warm/hot week here in Melbourne, so I have been using lots of the La Roche Posay Ultra light SPF 50 and have not been sunburnt on my face and neck at all.

Any new beauty discoveries: That I can wear copper shades on my eyes.

Favorite look worn : ABH Prism Palette. Wore Eden and Unity in the crease. Used glitter glue and wore destination on the eyelid. MAC Teddy Eyeliner. Clinique High Impact Mascara. Benefit Hervana Blush

Most used : ABH Prism Palette and Benefit Hervana Blush

New beauty discoveries : ABH Prism Palette. Also how nice is the Too Faced Melted Chocolate Lipstick in Milk Chocolate? Love it!

My skin tone/coloring: Light neutral, NC20

Favorite look worn: MAC Malt as transition, MAC Omega in crease and outer lid, ABH Golden Ochre on center of lid, ABH Vermeer on inner corner blended toward center. ABH Waterproof Creme Color upper tightline.

Most used product of the week: Besides the usual Clinique Brow Shaper, which I use every single day, my most used product this week was Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.

Any new beauty discoveries: I found a store that had one tube left of Chanel’s Rouge Allure Velvet in the discontinued shade Libre, which I had really wanted, but never had a chance to buy before it disappeared from stores. It’s beautiful!

Also, I discovered that my dog loves the taste of Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in Natural Mint & Shea Butter. No, I didn’t put it on him, but when he smells it on my lips or finger, he tries to lick it off. Lol!

My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite look you worn: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. MUFE M928 Eggplant from the Lustrous Palette in the crease (I’m so loving this as a crease color lately). The matte purple for the Juvia’s Place Zulu Palette over the MUFE Eggplant on the outer half of the crease. CP My Little Pony palette — Skydancer foiled on the inner third of top and bottom lids, wrapping around the inner corner; Snuzzle on the brow bone; Twilight on the outer corner and into the true crease, and along the outer 2/3 of the lower lashline. Medusa’s Makeup Totally Baked Eyeshadow in Awesome in the center of the lid. UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion on upper and lower waterlines. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. Cheeks — e.l.f. Blush in Fuchsia Fusion; Nyx Duo Chromatic Powder in Lavender Steel. Lips — UD Vice Lipstick in Voodoo.

Most used product of the week: MUFE Lustrous Palette; ColourPop My LIttle Pony Palette.

Any new beauty discoveries: I got a chance to try my Apocalyptic Beauty (etsy) matte eyeshadows. The best indie mattes I’ve ever used, and I’d put them up over most mainstream brands’ mattes, too. I used an incredibly pigmented acid green and ginger orange (on different occasions): They blended like butter and weren’t the slightest bit patchy. I may have to get more of her mattes!

My skin tone/coloring: fair/warm (elf Flawless Finish Foundation in Natural/Porcelain is a perfect match)

Favorite look you wore: Today’s! I used the Lorac LA Experience Venice Beach Palette (orange on the lid, olive in the crease, grape on the outer corner and lower lash line, and pale orange as inner corner highlight, as well as the included highlight for my cheeks), Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Pearlescent Pink, Clinique Different Lipstick in Raspberry Glace, and elf Cream Eyeliner in Black.

Most used product of the week: Besides my every day products… Makeup Revolution New-Trals vs. Neutrals

Any new beauty discoveries: Nope! Nothing new in beauty this week. I did discover a perfume that I love, but can’t justify buying, though.

My skin tone/coloring: light-medium, yellow-toned

Favorite look you worn: I barely wore makeup this week at all, but I’ve been trying to use up a couple of old bronzers and I’m really enjoying the bare-bronzed look right now, with just some tightlining and mascara and a touch of blush.

Most used product of the week: Hopefully an old Becca bronzer, ha!

Any new beauty discoveries: I tried on a BB cream sample from Tonymoly and I was immediately sold on the very smooth soft matte finish! Too bad there’s only two shades and at least one of them is absolutely ghostly.

My skin tone/coloring: light yellow/gold

Favorite look you wore: Very basic — MAC paint pot in “Groundwork,” layered blushes in Bite Beauty “Blondie” multistick and “Reclusa” by My Pretty Zombie, and “Love In Madness” on the lips (by Rituel de Fille).

Most used product of the week: Not counting base products, MAC paint pot in “Groundwork.” (I think I’ve had the same answer for a month now)

Any new beauty discoveries: The new Pat McGrath lipsticks? That’s all I can think of. (“Strange” and “Beautiful Creature” haunt my dreams.)

Sorry a tad late but here’s an overview of my makeup week:

My skin tone/coloring is medium with yellow-neutral undertones and the products I wore were Estéé Lauder’s Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup in 4N1 Shell Beige, Fenty’s Pro Filt’R in 290, or T. LeClerc’s Anti-Ageing Fluid Foundation in 06 Doré Satiné. I just can’t stick to one foundation for any length of time.

My most favorite look I wore this week was an eye look with an old palette I rarely used that I pulled out, ck one powder eyeshadow palette, and I think I used five shadows (don’t no why, but it worked).

My most used product of the week was RCMA No-Color Powder, just about everyday.

And I discovered my first NYX eyeshadow palette, Perfect Filter Shadow Palette (PFSP03) Olive You. I bought it to relieve my pain of not buying ABH’s Subculture, as I really was looking for greens and new colors, and I figured even though it was muted too, I could do more with the NYX color scheme and it didn’t cost as much. So far, content with the pigmentation, but it didn’t help much on not still thinking about the brighter colors on ABH’s palette. Argh, I must let go!

Oh, I forgot other face, blush and lip products on the favorite look. I used Fenty’s Match Sticks in Sand & Truffle for redness correction and contouring, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights in Opal for T-zone and cheek highlighting, NARS Unfiltered II Conquest for my blush, and NYX Butter Gloss in BLG13 – Fortune Cookie (and I definitely need to find a Chanel, Dior, or Pat McGrath lipstick as a dupe for this gloss!)
