New Beauty Discoveries : EOS lip balms are truly terrible!
Truly terrible? I’m glad I never tried them, then!
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look you’ve worn: I’ve been so busy, I’ve just been doing very basic, neutral looks. I’m too tired to be creative. lol
Most used product of the week: Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Blush in Plum Rose. With my Mom in ICU and all the extra stuff I’ve had to do, this has been in almost daily use. It goes with almost everything, so it’s one less thing to think about. E.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation in Light Ivory (I finished up the bottle). Too Faced Melted in Melted Nude.
Any new beauty discoveries: I’m loving the BH Cosmetics Marvycorn palette so far
Praying for you and your mom.
Thank you, Shari! Mom got off the respirator Friday, and is out of ICU now. She was having a little problem breathing today, but she’s being taken care of and is still off the respirator.
Your prayers are much appreciated.
So thankful for the update and good news!
How is your Mum going Rachel? I bet you are exhausted with all the hospital visiting and taking care of her. Lots of love to you and your family.
Thanks so much for asking. She is doing better. She got off the respirator Friday, and is out of ICU now. She was having a little problem breathing today, but she’s being taken care of and is still off the respirator.
So glad she seems to be improving. Hugs to you.
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Favorite look you worn: When your MUA daughter tells you that your makeup looks beautifully done:?. I wore Chanel Empriente du Desert quad with Sephora Contour Pencil in Go For a Ride on lower lashline, MAC Tete-A-Teint as transition, Nylon inner tearduct highlight, Uninterrupted to deepen and define crease blown up and out, EdD lt. gold inner lid, coppery bronze inner crease, deep bronze outer crease blown upwards into Uninterrupted, green on outer 2/3 of lid blended into the lt. gold. Black upper lashline wings, mascara. Cheeks: UD Jawbone contour, MAC Oh My, Passion blush, Whisper Of Gilt highlight. Lips: Nyx Earthtone Slim Lip Pencil, Pat McGrath She’s Heaven Luxetrance Lipstick. Later, after lunch, I popped some MAC x Mariah Carey Butterfly Bling over the She’s Heaven t/up.
Most used product of the week: Mixing 2 parts MAC Pro Longwear NC40 to 1 part Lumene BB Cream in Medium for my foundation. Absolutely PERFECT. No floating orange head vía Fenty 260! Also, with RMCA No Color Powder, I can make the pores go *POOF*!
Any new beauty discoveries: I am becoming more and more convinced that Fenty doesn’t have a shade for me that I wouldn’t need a 2nd bottle to use as a mixer. 290 doesn’t have an orange head effect, but for at least 6 months of the year, it runs too deep, so I’d need probably 230 or 220 (whichever one it was that the SA showed me that also had a duller, more neutral olive look to it. Not sure if I will just return to Lancome or MAC, or return 260(??) for 290 and the other lighter shade.
Wow, I wish you posted a picture of that look here! Sounds fabulous and summerish.
Ouineque, I didn’t even think to take one single selfie that day! Yeah, it was a super hectic day Friday. The getting up at 5:30 a.m. and being on the run all day, yikes. I was shocked that my look was still pretty perfect when I removed it after 12+ hours of wear!
Your look sounds gorgeous!
Sounds like an amazing look! I might give it a go based on your description but it will probably be different.
Skin tone: Very fair with cool undertones. MAC NW 5-10
Favorite look: I am having a moment with the BH Cosmetics Wild and Alluring eye shadow palette which I hadn’t pulled out in about 2 years. Was thinking about decluttering it and decided to do an eye look with it and ended up using it all week. I have used one of the shades as a blush all week and I think I have posted two looks with it on my Instagram including the one from yesterday. I loved both posted looks equally well. One was a warmer toned looks using the soft coral and green and then the other was a cooler toned look using just the green shades. The coral shade I used as a blush. It is very shimmery but works as a glowing blush. I did make a change to my base this week and have been using the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation, L’Oreal True Match Bronzer in Light/Medium and used several different lippies. The two posted looks have the lippies mentioned but I am continuing to love the L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine lipsticks and yesterday’s was Glassy Garnet.
Most used product: The aforementioned BH Cosmetics Wild and Alluring palette and the L’Oreal Shine lipsticks.
New beauty discoveries: I watched a Lisa Eldridge video where she took a little concealer or foundation and mixed a touch of her blush into it to use for covering hyperpigmentation that occurs in the area you would wear blush. I have tried that this week and have been loving that. I also had picked up a mineral powder foundation to use on no makeup days when I need to set my sunscreen. I used a little of that powder mixed with my concealer to use in covering hyperpigmentation and enjoying that also.

Very pretty eye looks Deborah – now I know what you look like! You have a really beautiful complexion.
Lovely looks! That’s such a pretty palette for spring.
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you worn: Lorac’s Amber on the whole lid, with Clover (olive shade) on the lower lid and Graphite in the crease, paired with my Besame orange/red lippie.
Most used product of the week: All my staples.
Any new beauty discoveries: Yes, Nars Subra turns a bit muddy on me – I am not a fan of this plum shade as much as I thought. So my quest to find a really good plum shade in a single continues – I don’t want a quad or a palette for just one shade because usually they are full of pink shades that I would not use.
Another aspect is that from July 1st, any international purchase under $1000 attracts an additional tax – courtesy of our govt.’s new rule. A total bummer.
Subra does the same thing on me. It gets kind of muddy, and looks brown on me instead of burgundy/plum.
Skin tone: mac NC23/25.
Most worn look: I haven’t worn makeup in 17 days, while I have been in the hospital recovering from my surgery to remove my tumor!
Most used product of the week: origins drink up hydrating mask! I have been using it as a night moisturizer, everynight while in the hospital!!
Beautiful discoveries: this is silly. But not being able to wear makeup while recovering, has really been helping me feel more confident with OUT makeup. I feel okay being seen with my under eye circles out again!
I hope your recovery is going well. I’m so glad you were able to get the tumor removed.
17 days in the hospital! Hopefully you are beginning to feel better! Sometimes we need a break from makeup to remind us we are naturally beautiful! I’ve seen you without makeup and you are lovely ?
My skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde and blue strands.
Favorite look you worn: Probably Thursday: Kat Von D Chad on lid, KVD Carolyn in crease, Stila Fabulous in Fiji Escape on browbone, CoverGirl Katy Kat Eye Perry Blue mascara, L’Oreal True Match Super-blendable C7-C8 Spiced Plum blush, L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive La Vie En Rose Doutzen’s Pink lipstick.
Most used product of the week: I don’t really have a most-used for this week, but I did use Sephora Lipstories Hong Kong by Night for the first time last night. I really liked the way it looked!
Any new beauty discoveries: Nothing new, really.
Wait, I think I do have a discovery after all. When I was running errands Friday, I peeked at Life & Style in the grocery store checkout line and it had an article about neon eyeshadow being trendy. The article offered the Urban Decay Electric palette, bought through Amazon, as an option. It also implied that, in the photos of them reprinted in the article, Busy Philipps and Chloe Grace Moretz may have both had the Electric palette used on them by their shared makeup artist. I may have actually caught a trend 2 and a half years before Hollywood!
