Sephora Autumn Wind (54) & Auburn Prestige (98) Cream Lip Stains Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Autumn Wind (54)
Sephora Autumn Wind (54) Cream Lip Stain ($14.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a deep, burgundy with warm, brown undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation covered my lips with even color that dried down without getting into my lip lines. The consistency was smooth, creamy, and very spreadable, though a little went a long way! The color dried down quickly and stayed on well for over eight hours on me. The formula was non-drying over time.

Formula Overview
$14.00/0.169 oz. - $82.84 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "high-coverage" that goes on "smooth" and yields a "silky, lightweight stain" that is "long-lasting" and "never sticky" and "won't dry out lips." One of the signature traits for the formula is that it is a thinner (and yet somehow creamy) texture that does spread well but feels thin and very lightweight on the lips. It dries down quickly, but I never felt like it was troublesome to apply, even if I needed an extra moment to get around the edges of my lips, so it was a more forgiving formula despite setting more quickly. Once it set, the color did stay locked on for hours--I tested shades for around eight hours and many were still going strong. The formula was non-drying to slightly drying to me. They had a moderately strong, sweet scent (almost like burnt sugar) that also smelled just slightly "perfume-y" to me, but it seemed to dissipate after an hour of wear.
The pigmentation varied from shade to shade, but it did seem that the more shimmery and metallic shades often were less pigmented and did not always apply as evenly and sometimes seemed to sit in my lip lines. The cream/matte shades applied more evenly and had more opaque coverage on average.

Auburn Prestige (98)
Sephora Auburn Prestige (98) Cream Lip Stain ($14.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a deep burgundy with cool undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was good, but it wasn’t quite opaque, which was most noticeable along the center of my lips and on the outer edge. The texture was lightweight, thin, and a little more fluid than ideal, so I had to be careful around the edges to avoid going too much beyond my natural lip line. The color applied evenly, though, and it dried down within a minute. This shade lasted well for eight hours, left a stain behind, and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Because these are my kind of colors, you can already guess what I’m about to say, right? Yeah. Dupes. However, I love the look of Autumn Wind so much, that if/when my tube of MAC Deep Love goes rancid, there is this gem!
I love these, too. But somehow this color family all looks pretty much the same on me, without all the nuances and gradations that I get from say, brown reds. I wonder how close these two are to each other? And, while i’m whining, that is auburn?
Not my shades at all although I do love the intensity and the scores. I think they would both look amazing on my daughter so will have to share this with her and see what she thinks. She has never met a deep, dark vampy shade she doesn’t love.
Any lipstick/lip gloss that has the words ‘autumn’ in its title has me interested. These are both gorgeous shades.
Ugh these are both beautiful shades of burgundy. Though I did tell myself I wouldn’t buy anymore liquid lipsticks since I really prefer bullet lipsticks…
Do you know if these would make good dupes for Jeffree Star Cosmetic’s Unicorn Blood? They look awfully similar and the price point is better
Sorry, I don’t have that!
