Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Medium Warm (MAC NC 30)

I wore the same eye look all week: (Using Kat Von D Saint & Sinner) Sacred Heart (inner 1/3 mobile lid), Worship (outer 1/3), Relic (center), Exorcism (outer V and under lower lash line), Devil (transition) and Absolution (brow bone and inner tear duct highlight). My favorite cheek look was NARS Goulue highlighted with Anastasia’s Sassy Grape. My favorite lipsticks were Guerlain Rouge G in Gigolo and Bite Beauty 010 (Boysenberry).

Most used product: Saint and Sinner Palette, Lancome Definicils.

Rediscovery: Kevyn Aucoin’s Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting Highlighter still looks amazing when mixed with foundation!

My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37, Lancôme Teint Idole 24H 360, Fenty ProFilt’r 260 or 290, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite look you worn: A tie!
Most fun look was using KVD Pastel Goth Meow and Dope building a purple cut-crease, CP Goodish on mobile lid, Something Special from All I See Is Magic on outer V, lower lashline, Nyx Faux Black liner in Obsidian to line lower lashline, UD Bittersweet blush and Nyx Lavender Steele on cheeks, UD Cruz lipstick and liner on lips.
Most glam was a smokey bronze eye, Pat McGrath Luxetrance Lipstick in Strangé, cheeks with MAC Burnt Pepper and Highlight The Truth, with CP Here Kitty Kitty Highlighter for some more spotlight highlighting.

Most used product of the week: Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation, Maybelline Full & Soft Waterproof Mascara, Essence Midnight In Paris Gel Liner, I guess?

Any new beauty discoveries: 3rd LOTW was a lesson…. apparently my idea that MAC Vex and Fathoms Deep EDES were made for each other didn’t turn out as planned. Had built up crease 1st using ND Per Se and, I think MAC Kid(?) as transition, Vex inner lid, Fathoms Deep blended inwards into Vex, black cat-eye liner, lots of mascara. KVD Hawkwind on lips, Essence Satin Love, CP Here Kitty Kitty on cheeks. Caught a VERY unflattering glimpse of myself in a public mirror, did a double take, I looked like I LITERALLY hadn’t slept in a week!!! LOL!

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones.

Favorite look worn: I just got several products from Jill Stuart line. I decided to use all of them in a look. I had an eye shadow quint, two new blushes and a lip gloss. The eye shadow quint appeared to be all shimmer so I used a couple of neutrals from my Too Faced Matte Peach palette. However, a couple of the shades were matte with an overspray. The quint is a very natural, beige, pink, cream sort of palette. I liked how the look turned out but wasn’t wowed by it. The next day I drew in a khaki shade from a Chantecaille palette and liked the look a lot. The two blushes are really nice although the one is a very pale pink which I layered with the more peachy shade. I like both of them a lot. The lip gloss is a very pale pink. I used it over several lipsticks throughout the week and it was a really nice gloss. It wasn’t sticky, wore well for a gloss and had a pleasant smell/taste.

Most used product of the week: The Jill Stuart lip gloss in “January”. They are releasing a new lip gloss monthly.

New beauty discoveries: none

My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favorite look you worn: A couple worked out well this week: Lorac’s Pro Metals palette with the taupe in the crease, the olive shade on the lid and peachy gold shade in the corners. Paired with the Elizabeth Arden’s Cocoa bronze ceramide lippie.
Another was with Clarins Naturals 5 pan palette – a light touch of the dark brown in the crease, taupe on the lid and and the vanilla shade in the corners. Paired with Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick in Ginger.

Most used product of the week: Lots and lots of sunscreen!

Any new beauty discoveries: None really this week as it has been so, so hot.
