On a trip to Target I saw that all the Boots Botanics products were on clearance, so I picked up a bunch of them. I am particularly excited to try the Shine Away Mattifying Gel Cream. ๐
Whatโs been in your rotation the most this week? UD Afterglow Blush in Rapture, Milani Rose Blush in Awakening Rose, UD Full Spectrum and Ultimate Basics (because they’re newer).
What caught your eye? The Kat von D Alchemist Palette looks amazing!
I’m almost embarrassed to say it, but the Too Faced Sweet Peach collection. The eyeshadow palette actually looks better, and the cheek stuff is pretty. I’m still smarting from the fiasco and hype of the original palette release, so I kind of hate myself for being interested. At least it’s permanent now, so I don’t have to make any decisions right away. I definitely want to see — and smell! — them in person before I decide anything.
Funny story: Tuesday I got ready for work by the light of a tiny little nightlight that we keep by the bathroom sink. I have one of those MAC 15 pan eyeshadow palettes that I have filled with random eyeshadow singles over the years, so I grabbed it and put together a mix of colors that I could not properly see or identify. When I got to work and saw it in the mirror, I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to remember the location of the shadows I chose, and when I got home I discovered I had used Sketch on outer 1/3 of lid, Sable on middle of lid, Shroom on inner 1/3 and brow bone, and Wedge as my transition shade. I have never liked Sable and barely used it, but I love it so much with Sketch that I wore it almost all week! I even added Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal liquid liner in Midnight Cowboy to make it a little festive for the week leading into the New Year. It’s so much fun to discover gems in my own stash.
