My skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Most loved product of the week: Mario palette from Anastasia
Most used product of the week: same – the Mario palette, along with Craving lipstick from MAC
Any new beauty discoveries?: Essence crayon shadows (I’ve only got one – She’s Got the Mauve, which really is more taupe than mauve – and it’s so excellent that I know I’ve got to get more!); also, I stopped by MAC on my way to the gym today and tried the new In Extra Dimension blushes and OMG!!!! They were sold out of the 2 shades I wanted the most but, honestly, I want at least 4 of them! Into the Pink was outstandingly gorgeous. So, a “discovery” but not a purchase (yet….gotta wait for them to restock).
Skin tone: Medium Warm (MAC NC30, Teint Idole 320 Bisque, Born This Way Natural Beige, Luminous Silk 5.75)
Most loved product of the week: Continuing my obsession that started two weeks ago, I am mixing colors from the Viseart Bridal Satin, Viseart Boheme Dream, Kat Von D Pastel Goth, and Anastasia Moonchild palettes to create beautiful spring looks. Those Viseart palettes are the most loved products of the week.
Most used product of the week: Guerlain Maxi Lash mascara. I put this mascara away after a month of use–I really didn’t like it. I let it rest for a couple months and just started re-using it two weeks ago, and I like it quite a bit more. Initially I was frustrated because it was so wet. The rest time may have helped with that, as it is now a better consistency. I have found that I have to take more time with Maxi Lash–the more I brush it through my lashes, the better it looks. I can build it up without having issues with clumping, which I like.
New beauty discoveries: I generally don’t use concealer as it is not flattering for me at the age of 51. I watched this video last weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIYDPpJLEck. It made me smile because the best performing concealer turned out to be Lancome’s Effacernes, which was my go-to concealer for over 20 years. So I read the comments below this video and used my Benefit Stay Don’t Stray as a base, Effacernes applied with my finger as indicated in the video, and set with the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores powder. This actually worked! I am still on the fence about whether or not I look better with concealer, as I do not have dark circles that require concealing, but it’s nice to know I can wear concealer if I want to, which has not really been an option for me the past 3-4 years. One nice thing about wearing concealer that has been set with powder is that I have less of an issue with my mascara smudging under my eyes during the course of the day.
Interesting because just this week I found a sample of Guerlain Maxi Lash buried in my drawer . I thought it produced a very nice curl , built up nicely and didn’t clump !
Yes, it is nice! It just took me awhile to “come around” to it.
I totally understand !
Skin tone: Fair with neutral undertones
Most loved product of the week: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in Light Bronze
Most used product of the week: Soap & Glory Sexy Motherpucker gloss stick in Nudist
Any new beauty discoveries? Not really, but I’ve finally made the Wet-n-Wild Photofocus foundation work for me after really disliking it upon the first few tries.
My skin tone/coloring: very fair, warm (like NC10-12 range), blue eyes, light brown hair with copper highlights
Most loved product of the week: Estee Lauder Naked Truth hi-lustre lipstick. It is such a great color on me; I’m happy every time I put it on.
Most used product of the week: Urban Decay Spike; have been in a warm/red to peach/spring–y place, and this sheers nicely to that range and also looks nice with my blue eyes
Any new beauty discoveries?: Just got Becca Backlight primer. I think I’m liking it, have to give it a few more days to be sure.
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37 Lancôme N360.
Most loved product of week: Nars spring collection! Although I probably don’t need much of it, I love it! Also, Stellar Beauty 02 Dark Matter lipstick!
Most used product of the week: Haha! Just since I bought it on Monday, I’ve already worn EL Naked Truth lipstick 3 X’s! Been using ColourPop Drop Of A Hat with Might Be quite a bit, too.
Any new beauty discoveries?: Marula Oil! It came in March’s Ipsy Bag, I overlooked it until this week when out of despair because my eczema was out of control. The meds no longer seemed to be controlling it. This stuff at least soothed it and took that itchy, scratchy feeling away. For actual makeup, though: Estee Lauder Naked Truth, ColourPop Might Be and Drop Of A Hat. This combo goes with almost any eye look I put together!
Naked Truth looks so beautiful on Christine and others, like you, who are more olive and warm, but it is yet another lipstick that simply doesn’t show up on me. At all. ☹️
My skin tone/coloring: light to medium with warm undertones, NC 23 ish
Most loved product of the week: MAC Beaming Blush
Most used product of the week: MAC Next To Nothing Foundation
Any new beauty discoveries?: MAC Next To Nothing Foundation, the 140 brush and the new Extra Dimension Blushes and Skinfinishes!
I have the MAC Next to Nothing foundation in my cart and my finger is itching to pull the trigger.
I like it! It reminds me of a sheerer, less dewy bb cream.
My coloring is Soft Summer/ low contrast cool. The product that fits all 3 categories is Rouge Bunny Rouge Sheer lipstick in Musings! I already have two other shades of this lippie that I loce abd have back up of, but I got this one and wore it every day! It looks great with my coloring too and is very comfy and moisturising on the lips.
Skintone/coloring : light NC 20
Most loved: ABH Modern Renaissance Palette. Just such a wonderful, easy to use, blends well, diverse and cohesive palette. Love it to pieces
Most used: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in light, Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer and Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. Finally used that one up. Put it in my empties bin!
New Discoveries : Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Palette. Thank You Ulta 20% coupon!
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Most loved product of the week: Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette; MAC Metallic Lips. I bought Zerocool, Silver Spoon, and Metal Head. They look good on me by themselves, even.
Most used product of the week: Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette, The Balm Balm Appetit Palette, Tarte Amazonian Clay Bush in Exposed, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Long Wearing Foundation. (Plus my usual staples.)
Any new beauty discoveries?: I love MAC Metallic Lips in Zerocool over Nyx Slide On Lip Pencil in Revolution.
Skin Tone – light to medium , cool
Most Loved Product of the Week – the new Urban Decay Naked 3. I’ve spent way too much time playing around with it
Most Used Product of the Week – undereye Concealer and correction products . I have very dark blue under eye circles . Nothing works but I keep trying every new product that comes out. Even after applying a setting powder every single mascara in the universe still smears on me after a few hours . If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears .
New Beauty Discoveries – loving UD glow powder in Aura
Skin tone: porcelain with pink under tones
Most loved product of the week: Starting to wear some of my autumnal clothes this week, and I fell in love with UD’s Naked 1 all over again – especially Darkhorse, Smog and Half Baked.
Most Used product: UD Naked 1 with my Milani Cinnamon Spice or Candied Toffee lipstick.
New Discoveries: I loved the Stellar Moon lipsticks – very, very pretty.
My skin tone/coloring: NC10-15
Most loved product of the week: Inglot eyeshadows- I have walked past the store in Delhi many times but finaly went in & bought some shadows, amazing! The store is overwhelming with choices so bring a list or you’ll be there all day!
Most used product of the week: Flexi Pallete from Inglot filled with all new goodies!
Any new beauty discoveries?: Tigi Bedhead 3 Resurrection Treatment Mask- (What is with these long product names?) If you can stand the obnoxious pina colada scent this is a wonderful intensive hair deep conditioner that has done wonders for my bleached-to-oblivion platinum locks.
My skin tone: light/neutral MAC NW 20, Lorac Sheer POREfection PS3 light beige. This Lorac foundation is also my most loved product of the week! I really like the finish it gives my skin. Most used product of the week: KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin. This one suits my skin tone perfectly. I’ve been wearing it constantly! Any new discoveries? Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-balm. It’s strawberry flavored and works really well. I found it in one of the bins while waiting in line at Ulta and I dearly love it!!!
