Viseart Etendu Palette Swatches: Minxette & Violette
Viseart Etendu Palette ($44.00 for 0.63 oz.) is a new format from the brand and was recently released in two variations. Minxette is inspired by the brand’s now-discontinued Minx Theory Palette, and it has some shades overlapped (waiting on confirmation of which shades, as they weren’t named previously). Violette is an extension of the Liaison palette (includes some repeats from that as well).
It seems 1.5g instead of 1g is their new trend? I was hoping these palette can be easily mix and match (as their pans can be removed easily) with former edit ones…
The minx ones look smooth and great tho!!
The Violette reminds me so so much of the Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet palette! I wonder if the quality will be better.
These do look nice, but I think I still prefer their OG iterations more. Particularly Liason which I missed out on. May still go for Violette, though.
Liason is one of my top 3 palettes and I’m convinced that Anastasia Viseart created it just for me because I kept asking for cool toned purples lol! My biggest regret is not buying 2, or even 3, when it launched but I thought it was permanent. I can’t wear warm tones and it’s really hard to find a cool toned purple palette so it’s exactly what I was looking for. I bought Violette and can’t wait to try it. Viseart makes some of the best and easiest to work with purples.
Muse Beauty Pro listed the repeat shades on their website. I originally wanted to pick up Violette, but the only shades in that palette that I don’t have are from Grande Pro…
Thanks for this Christine! Looking forward to reading your thoughts 🙂 I bought Violette based on this but unsure about Minxette still. I know Minx is in stock at different retailers – do you know if all Theory palettes are discontinued or how they announced that? Hope you are having a great weekend
Minx is one of my favorite palettes but since I have hit pan on only one shade (the one similar to Peche II, which is very dupable), I don’t see buying this one. I like the additional shades, but to my eye, there are similar shades in UD Born to Run, which has some shades similar to Minx as well. Born to Run is not Viseart quality but it’s usable enough for me to save $44. On the other hand, if all my makeup were destroyed somehow, I certainly would buy Minxette.
Born to Run is a bomb palette! One of Urban Decay’s best palettes and so versatile.
Oh I didn’t realize they were discontinuing Minx! I’m glad I have that palette already, because something about Minxette seems less workable to me. I think a palette of six to nine shades is good for me, anything more and I start to get lost. It’s nice that these pans look like they can be mix and matched with the petite pro and edit palettes though!
Both of these palettes colour stories are not for me – one is too orangey and the other too purpley. Both look pretty good though – the swatches are pigmented and the mattes look decent. I think these are going to be of good value.
More purple! Yay! Added to my wish list but will wait to see if it’s worth it to buy.
I have liaison, this is an easy pass for me. I do love lilas from the petit four quads. I would love for them to do a expanded palette of it.
I’m interested in both palettes so I’ll stay tuned for the review
I have Minx and I love it, it made me find out warm colours like orange suit me best. Minxette looks less interesting to me, both in quality and in colours. More is not always better.
Oh,girls,I hesitate between the violet and Jackie Aina palette. What drawns me in the latter are purple colors and he shimmers, but no transition and I am very fair-skinnes, cool tone. In the violet palette I have the first row of my fav mauve shadows. But as I watch the reviews ,the shimmers are not good here…also Jackie Aina is 30 dol only…but do the purples stain the lid in the Abh palette? I cannot decide…Help!!
Ah, the purple one looks a little weak swatch wise. The rest doesn’t interest me at all.
Having Liason makes this an easier pass. I can see from the photos a lot of crossover shades.
How’s the purple shades in this compare to VIseart Amethyst?
