Viseart Ablaze Theory Cheek Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Ablaze
Viseart Enamored Theory Cheek Palette ($45.00 for 0.32 oz.) includes a highlighter, blush, and bronzer. Per the description, the bronzer is actually listed as “sheer bronzer,” which is good, given it was quite sheer. For reference, the blush formula is also a “sheer to fuller coverage” product–sheer but buildable. I have found that Viseart’s more matte/satin cheek powders apply a lot better than they look on my arm. Ultimately, they apply better in thinner, more gradual layers than applied more heavily and then blended out. If you aren’t a fan of sheerer blushes and bronzers, I don’t think that the Viseart formula is ideal for you, even though they are certainly buildable.

Ablaze (Highlight)
Ablaze (Highlighter) is a light-medium gold with very warm, yellow undertones and a softly metallic sheen. It had rich, opaque color coverage, which was easily blended out for sheerer coverage (or you could use less–the texture wasn’t too firm or too soft, so it was easy to control the amount of product picked up on my brush). The texture was smooth and blendable, while the color stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Ablaze (Blush)
Ablaze (Blush) is a brighter pop of medium coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-sheer to opaque color payoff (three layers) that blended out a lot better than I expected, given the thinner, almost dry texture in the pan. There is definitely something interesting about Viseart’s blush formula, as it almost always goes on better in practice on cheeks than when I try it on the arm (even when I try to replicate my application methods)–my only guess is that trying to confine the blending to small strips on my forearm isn’t conducive to some of the more diffused initial application of blush (larger area). This shade wore well for eight hours on me.

Ablaze (Bronzer)
Ablaze (Bronzer) is a soft, medium brown with warm, yellow undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had sheer, buildable coverage that I was able to build to semi-opaque coverage with three layers. The powder was soft, a little dusty and on the thinner side, but it blended out nicely on the skin and did not appear dry or dusty, even when layered. On on my cheeks, the bronzer lasted nicely for eight hours before starting to appear faded.

Tbh, I really love this one to use as a compact cheek trio for travel. If I were to purchase it down the road, that would be a primary motivation. Even the bronzer, while rather yellowish (and I usually run in the other direction when it comes to yellowish bronzers!), would work due to it being this sheer and workable.
I like the concept of the trios – I think they are more usable than the six-pans!
I have this palette and I enjoy it very much. The blush is a pretty coral, buildable and very easy to work with. The bronzer is sheer, but I like it that way. You don’t get this big brown patch when you first put it on. The highlighter could be brighter, but it’s good for everyday or work. I’m just curious how this will stack up with Huda’s upcoming face palette & Becca’s collab with Chrissy Teigen. From what I’ve seen so far, those two look fabulous!
I’m so glad you’re loving your new palette, Summer! 🙂
Gorgeous trio!! I haven’t paid too much attention to Viseart, but I’m curious to pick up a few items during the Sephora sale!
I hope you can do so!
I like the tone of the blush and bronzer!! Very pretty on the skin imo!
This formula always looks better on cheeks than swatched!
Just lovely Christine.
Glad to hear it, Genevieve! 🙂
Very nice, adding to wishlist.
Very cute, so much better than the latest shadow palettes.
