Urban Decay Sparkle Out Loud Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners Reviews & Swatches (Part 2)
Studio
Urban Decay Studio Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner ($21.00 for 0.25 oz.) has a clear base with lavender sparkle and holographic glitter. It had semi-sheer coverage in a single stroke of the included applicator. The texture was watery, lightweight, and thin with a fairly quick dry down (didn’t feel too fast nor too slow). The glitter moved evenly across the area I applied it to, so it had a good effect all over. It lasted nicely for eight hours with very minimal movement over time.

The formula is supposed to be "buildable" with "superfine glitter" that "dries down quickly and really stays put." For more opaque coverage, the brand recommends removing the wiper (the black component inside the opening of the tube) to get a lot more product on the brush, though I've found this to be messy and easy to over-apply (with a very long dry-down time).
When the wiper is left in, it is a fairly sheer to semi-sheer coverage product that is difficult to get in a long, even line. My best advice is to apply in short strokes and going back for more product as needed or use a separate brush to apply. Once in place, the formula lasts a really long time--eight to nine hours--with minimal fallout.

Volume
Urban Decay Volume Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner ($21.00 for 0.25 oz.) has a clear base with copper, pink-to-peach shifting glitter, and looked almost holographic to my eye. The consistency was lightweight, thin, and watery, but the glitter moved evenly across the area I applied it to without having to fuss too much with it. The pigmentation was more semi-sheer (as intended) and could be built up slightly, though I’d recommend removing the wiper (black component in the opening) to just get more product out at once. There were just a couple of stray glitters after eight hours of wear.

Stonewall
Urban Decay Stonewall Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner ($21.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a translucent, reddish base with warm undertones and deep red and pink glitter. The base was noticeably tinted, though it didn’t seem to have any impact when layered over shades that were deeper than it but might impact a very light product, depending on how it was applied. As we’re often talking about layering these over a liquid or pencil eyeliner, the line tends to be so thin that any misses in evenness are hard to detect. It had semi-sheer coverage that dispersed fairly evenly when applied in a single layer. It wore well for eight hours with minimal movement of the glitter.

Stage Dive
Urban Decay Stage Dive Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner ($21.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a yellow-tinted translucent base with lighter and richer emerald green glitter. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that was somewhat buildable (make sure to let each layer dry down) with good dispersion of the glitter without disturbing anything it was layered on top of (like powder eyeliner or pencil eyeliner). This particular shade appeared warmer, more grass green than emerald green, when in warmer lighting (the impact of ambient lighting was more noticeable with this shade). The consistency was lightweight, thin, and watery with a fairly quick dry down. There was minimal movement of glitter over an eight-hour period.

Of all the Sparkle Out Loud liquid glitter eye liners, only that very holographic silvery one of a the other day is tempting me. I’m just not a fan of wearing something as glittery as these on or around my eyes. Or, for that matter, anywhere but my nails?
These are gorgeous shades and if UD released them as shimmers and satins in a palette I would be all over it.
Again, not remotely interested in having glitter like that near my eyes (or anywhere, for that matter), but if I were a glitter person, I’d be really intrigued by all three of these.
I have one of theses and I’ve never gotten glitter in my eye or had trouble removing it. I’ve even used it to put a little glitter of my eyelashes.
I’m very careful around my eyes, never line my waterline because I wear contacts, but I wear UD glitter liner without worry. It stays put until I take it off.
Same. I love these liners to top my regular liner or I can even use them to add a topper of sparkle over the lid. I’ve never had an issue with glitter getting in my eyes with this formula.
