Urban Decay Snare Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches

Urban Decay Snare Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “smoky olive green shimmer.” It’s a smoky olive green with subtle brown undertones and a gray cast. It has a shimmery, frosted finish. MAC Enviable is lighter. Giorgio Armani #25 has a deeper base. bareMinerals Speaker Box is less shimmery. Make Up For Ever #84 is less frosted.

It’s a new (and permanent!) shade that launches February 1st at Urban Decay as well as in Sephora in JCP stores. The pigmentation level was nice, being very true-to-pan, and the resulting finish was shimmering and sparkling without resulting in fall out.  The texture was soft, smooth, and finely-milled; it had a very dense, buttery feel that you’d expect from Urban Decay’s formula. I found it looked greener as I blended out the color on the lid, so depending on how you apply it, the color can look smokier and grayer or warmer and greener.  Snare wore well for a full nine hours (no primer), as I didn’t see any signs of fading or creasing.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

That’s weird. Maybe they are trying to push the JCP stores or something. Although, the sephora closest to me is inside a JCP so I don’t mind too much.

They might be cousins. I own Erika F and it is more shimmer than solid color. This Urban Decay shadow looks more solid color than shimmer.
Not sure but I think Lancome USA has something more similar to Erika F in the All That Glitters single e/s

omg, I don’t have a color like this at all and I love olive/dark/smokey greens… this may be the color that will finally get me into UD single e/s pans rather than just buying UD palettes, lol…
