Urban Decay Quickie Afterglow 8-Hour Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Urban Decay Quickie Afterglow 8-Hour Blush
Urban Decay Bittersweet Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “bright pink.” It’s a medium, magenta pink with cool, blue undertones and a mostly matte finish. Urban Decay Obsessed (P, $26.00) is lighter. ColourPop Thumper (P, $8.00) is lighter, cream. ColourPop Mochi (P, $8.00) is lighter, warmer, cream. ColourPop Pie (P, $8.00) is darker, cream. ColourPop Homie (P, $8.00) is darker, brighter, cream. LORAC Unashamed (LE) is darker. NARS Roman Holiday (LE, $30.00) is lighter. Surratt Beauty Se Pomponner (P, $32.00) is darker, brighter. Milani Delizioso Pink (10) (P, $7.99) is very similar. Urban Decay Quickie (LE) is slightly less cool-toned. theBalm Down Boy (P, $21.00) is lighter. MAC Peony Petal (P, $21.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
The formula is supposed to have “buildable color” and wear for “eight long hours.” It had semi-sheer coverage that was buildable to mostly opaque coverage with two to three passes of product. I didn’t feel like I needed to pack it on for it to show up on my medium skin tone, so fairer and deeper complexions should be able to adjust their application to easily use this as they desire. It seems very versatile as a result of that buildability, combined with how blendable and silky the texture is. In the pan, it seemed almost powdery, but on the skin, it seems to almost melt into the skin and gives a natural matte finish, where skin still looks like skin and not totally flat. On me, it wore well for eight and a half hours.

I have been jonesing for this kind of color but I think I’m going to get Homie.
Both are nice shades 🙂
I don’t really gravitate toward this color, so I’m hoping another color in the range that’s more my speed performs this well. Fingers crossed!
So far, they’ve been pretty good!
How does these new powder formula compare with the original cream formulas and are the new colours similar to the old colours?
Thanks!
Hey Amy,
I don’t have the cream ones any more!
I love this sort of shade but I’ve so many similar colours (I’d add MAC’s Her Blooming Cheek as dupe or perhaps a possible dupe) so I’ll pass…it’s not a shade of which I need more.
That is one of the downsides of the range – some shades are very dupable!
Very nice! I really want to swatch all these.
Can’t wait for you to try ’em!
Christine, that color is absolutely stunning on you.
Aww! Thank you, Rachel!
I love your whole look here! Brings out your eyes just beautifully..Nars Angelika was a long time favorite of mine until I started to feel like the shimmer was a bit too much. So, I have been looking for a shade similar without shimmer. Would you opt for this or one of the other dupes you pulled?
Milani’s Delizioso Pink is REALLY good, so it would be between that one and this I’d say.
Great! I will look that one up. It may be a hard one for me to get my hands on though. I will see. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙂
Christine, do you have the same blush on both cheeks in your makeup look? They look different to me! Thanks! Oh btw – loving the cotton candy colored eye look!!!! 🙂
They are different!
Ooo what a pretty pink! I usually gravitate towards peach and orange blushes but this looks like it’ll look so pretty on me
It’ll be gorgeous on you, Fancie!
Beautiful cool tone blush .. !!
Monica.
It is!
Hi Christine, you look nice in this cool blush (so is with the warm blushes). I’m NW35, how do you think this blush look on me?
I think it would be great, Yosie!
Beautiful look, Christine! The blush looks perfect with your shadows and lips. I’ve heard such great things about the new blushes and now your A. I wish I wasn’t so devoted to cream and stick blushes, but I am.
Thanks so much, Allison! 🙂
I tried to order this during the Sephora sale, but it wasn’t available on their website yet. I might also check out the Colour Pop dupes as they are cheaper and cream blushes tend to last longer on me.
Hope it pops up on Sephora soon!
These kinds of colors look kind of theatrical to me. But thats cool in an eccentric kind of way. Just definitely not my style
I find this type of color harder to wear myself!
Hee hee, the name made me giggle 🙂 Cute shade! I really hope these blushes come to Switzerland soon.
Fingers crossed!
