Urban Decay O.N.S. Afterglow Highlighter Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
O.N.S. Afterglow
Urban Decay O.N.S. Afterglow Highlighter Palette ($34.00 for 0.45 oz.) is a new, limited edition four-pan palette featuring warm-toned, powder highlighters. The formula is supposed to b buildable from sheer, which was the “problem” in the palette–three of the four shades were rather pigmented with one being truly sheer and buildable with another that ended up being sheerer upon application to the cheek due to a denser, firmer texture.

O.N.S.
O.N.S. is a muted, medium copper with warm, brown undertones and a subtle, metallic sheen. The highlighter was opaque in a single layer, but the texture was forgiving enough that it could be applied with a lighter hand for less coverage and then built up. The powder felt dense without being too thick or heavy on the skin. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Cliché
Cliché is a light-medium gold with strong, warm yellow undertones and a luminous sheen. It had excellent color coverage in a single layer, but the soft, moderately dense powder made it easy to adjust my technique to pickup more or less product for more buildable coverage if desired. The powder applied nicely to the skin and stayed on well for eight hours.

Wicked
Wicked is a light pink with soft, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage, but the texture was a bit drier and denser, which made it more challenging to pickup product well with a brush and to apply it evenly on the skin. I needed to work harder to buff the powder onto the skin. It lasted for eight hours on me before fading.

No Angel
No Angel is a bright, light gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. It was richly pigmented, but the texture was quite dense that it was more difficult to get product to transfer onto my brush without a heavier hand. The powder did not apply as evenly or stick as well to bare skin as I would have liked. It wore well for eight hours before turning a bit patchy.

They are really pretty shades for those starting out into the highlighting world.
I love the bronzier tones of this palette compared to the Afterglow palette!
I never tried any highlighters or blushes from Urban Decay before. At least they don’t look glittery. Decently priced too.
I like ONS, but they’re all dupable. I was thinking of picking this up as a Christmas gift for my sister, but not going to now. I was hoping all of the shades would be buildable.
Honestly, I love the previous highlighter palette that UD put out. It was far more unique in its shades. Whereas this one just has one standout shade for me, O.N.S.
Wishing I would have grabbed up the 1st one!
