Touch in Sol Sun Aurora, Holo Mulberry, Aurora Taupe Metallist Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Sun Aurora (4)
Touch in Sol Sun Aurora (4) Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a bright, medium gold with warm, gold-to-green shifting sparkle and pearl. The texture was smooth, almost emollient, but had a looser press that let the product come away in larger flakes on a fingertip. The pigmentation was opaque in one layer whether applied with a fingertip or a synthetic brush, but I found that there was slightly less fallout when I used a brush to pat and press the product onto my lid. It wore well for eight hours with slight fallout over time but was impressively little given I didn’t use it with a wet brush or an adhesive base.

Formula Overview
$18.00/0.04 oz. - $450.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "shine with luxurious glitters," which can be used with "fingertips or a synthetic brush." I actually found application with brushes (synthetic or natural) to yield less fallout and a more even application of product than using fingertips. It was almost as if fingertips picked up too much product or product unevenly, which resulted in less-than-ideal application with more fallout than brushes.
The pigmentation varied from shade to shade, but most shades were medium to opaque, buildable, and blendable along the edges without fearing fallout. I had minimal fallout over the eight to nine hours they lasted for. If you have more sensitive eyes, I'd still recommend using these with an adhesive spray or base to ensure maximum adhesion during the day.

Holo Mulberry (5)
Touch in Sol Holo Mulberry (5) Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium, reddish-plum base with blue-to-teal shifting sparkle. and micro-glitter. It had opaque pigmentation when applied with fingertips but had light fallout during application, whereas a dry brush yielded nearly opaque coverage, though it wasn’t quite as sparkly, with less fallout.
The texture felt more loosely-pressed and like a cream-powder hybrid–some smoothness, some slip, but it was drier and didn’t feel like a true cream-based product to me. The color applied well to bare skin, blended out nicely with very little fallout during application (I get more with a powdery matte eyeshadow!) and stayed on well for eight and a half hours with the very slight fallout over time.

Aurora Taupe (7)
Touch in Sol Aurora Taupe (7) Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium-dark taupe with subtle, warm undertones and multi-colored sparkle and micro-glitter paired with a shiny, metallic finish. The flecks of glitter and sparkle were flatter, which gave them a stronger sheen and a shinier finish overall.
Applied with fingertips, it had more medium to semi-opaque color coverage and light fallout during application, whereas a synthetic brush (dry!) yielded almost opaque coverage and a fleck or two of fallout (when patted/pressed into place). While it didn’t have the pigmentation as marketed, I suspect those who like one-and-done glittery shades will still enjoy it.
I was able to gently diffuse and blend out the edges without the product falling off my skin, though some of the sparkles spread out on my lid area (a bit further than intended). It wore well for nine hours without creasing and had slight fallout over time.

Holo Mulberry is in my cart…I swatched it in store and it’s so much prettier (and soft/smooth?) than I expected! Glad it reviewed well with you!
I’ve got both Sun Aurora and Holo Mulberry and they’re both two of my favorite finds from Sephora this year! Happy to see them reviewed positively on the blog! 😀
YAY! Glad to hear this as I just ordered those two!
Photos really don’t do them justice!! They’re even more beautiful & dimensional in person; you’ll love them!
I ordered Holo Mulberry, too. I wasn’t sold from the photos but holy moley…in-person…WOW. So excited to get it in the mail!
I picked up Holo Mulberry and it is really beautiful. I have UD Solstice also but prefer Holo Mulberry. After seeing them swatched on the blog and seeing Tara’s haul I picked up two others but they haven’t arrived yet. I have used Holo Mulberry with just a neutral matte through the crease and I really love it. I may have to consider Sun Aurora as it is pretty complex shade.
I picked up Holo Mulberry months ago.. very stunning in person.
I love the shades, particularly the gold and taupe ones but I wouldn’t like the formulas with the micro glitters. Beautiful eye looks Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
Playing with these in Sephora yesterday was having me oohing and ahhing in public, no less! LOL! Seriously, though, I wanted to buy Holo Mulberry and that deeper bronze one (why can’t I remember the name?). These are a phenomenal product!
These are real beauties! Holo Mulberry, especially.
These look lovely! I really love Sun Aurora.
You might have changed my mind about TIS. These are gorgeous. I had an ?old stock experience with TIS pencils that was painful; all returned. These are too new to suffer that fate. Thanks.
Glad you were able to return those duds, at least!
