Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Skin tone: Very fair with neutral undertones, grey hair and dark brown eyes.

Favorite look: I have used the Emme Cosmetics Spring Garden palette everyday this week and have enjoyed it tremendously. The mattes are powdery and prone to fallout during application. The shimmer shades are vibrant and appear foiled straight from the pan. I have liked all of the looks I have created using the palette but my favorite from the week is the one where I was trying to channel Christine and use as many shades as I could but since my eyes are smaller I couldn’t quite get the whole palette, LOL. I used the shade Cotton Candy on the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid, Lime Grass on the middle third and Beauty Berry on the outer third. I used Tuscany for the tear duct and the peachy matte shade in the crease. I then added a touch of the matte cream colour from the Pony Glam palette for my brow bone highlight. It is a really pretty palette and as I mentioned before on the blog, it contains only shades that I will use so it was worth it to me to pick it up. For blush I used Becca Tiger Lily. This blush is actually too pigmented for me so I have to be careful to only pick up a small amount on the brush and then swirl it off either on my wrist or a tissue before taking it to the cheek. My lipstick was ColourPop Alchemist. I love that shade and have worn it a ton since I got it. It is a bit deep for a spring/summer shade but if I tap it on with my finger it can be worn lighter. I liked it full pigmentation for this look, though.

Most used product: The above mentioned e/s palette and lipstick.

Beauty discoveries: Nothing that comes to mind. In general, related to beauty is the no/low buy which I broke this week by placing a Sephora and an Ulta haul. It was a very small haul and I was proud of myself for going, getting what I wanted and getting out without breaking the bank. I only picked up the Kaja shadow and a lipstick from Sephora so that I could get the $100 point perk. From Ulta I got the blushes. In the past, once I was on the website, I would wander around looking for things to buy. I have been pretty proud of myself for sticking to it. Nancy T. here on the blog said it was getting easier and I totally agree. At first it felt a little devastating but now I don’t seem to care about it as much and I definitely don’t have the urge to just go surf the makeup sites.

Skin tone: Light medium, yellow undertones. Dark brown hair & eyes.

Fave look: Last nights date look – a smokey mauve eye with various shades from the ND Lila palette and SG Troops, Zoeva Taupe liner, lots of curled lashes, the top middle and right blush shades from the Jouer Bouquet D’Amour palette layered together, topped with the ND Pink Diamond & Glow highlighters. Revolution Pro satin lipstick in Instigator to finish off. We went out for a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant and stopped at the supermarket for some last minute groceries on the way home, where my husband told me I was the most beautiful person he’d ever seen holding hot dog buns and then made a terrible joke about hot weiners. I was reluctantly charmed… 🙂

Most Used: Still loving the Revolution Star Primer and the Pro foundation drops aren’t bad either!

Discoveries: Mixing a pinch of ascorbic acid into my Natio Rosewater primer and applying directly to freshly cleaned skin is like an instant face mask and doesn’t leave the faint gritty feeling of the Ordinary vitamin C lotion.

WOW, a husband who even thinks you are beautiful holding hot dog buns, LOL! Sounds like a keeper. Yes, regarding your comment on my comment, the shades are all really pretty. There are only four mattes and I don’t think they are shown in the palette on the store website but they are on IG somewhere. There is a matte leaf green shade, a matte purple, a gold and a peach. I have been pretty much sticking to the peach shade for transition or bringing in a shade from another palette. The shimmers are working really nice for me and I love all of them. The deep green in the upper left is actually more of a deep teal colour when applied to the lid which is nice given there are two other greens in the palette. Overall , I am happy with the palette. I don’t know if you saw my comment when I hauled the palette but the girl who runs the company out of her kitchen, only makes a few palettes. She planned an original run of 20 palettes and then with encouragement did a preorder for 20 more. I was totally shocked when I got one of the original 20. Not being particularly tech savvy and not exactly quick on the draw, I didn’t think I had a chance. She is going to release a few of the shades as singles in May and I may pick up a couple of the shades as backups. It is a little more expensive than what I really like to pay but she is in Canada and the US dollar is weak to the Canadian dollar right now so I paid a bit extra for it.
Hope your vacay is going well. Better soak up the sun while it lasts as winter is coming for you all!!! I am basking in the 50 degree heat of Montana right now!

Yes, I went and got my Google-fu on when you mentioned that you scored one of the highly limited palettes previously – it looks like her stuff sells out pretty fast, so good for you!

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favourite look from the week: I did a look featuring the shades from a couple of different palettes and singles: City Color Cleo (gold) on the lid, a plum shade from Maybelline’s Burgundy Bar on the lower lid and the peach shade In the Buff from bareMinerals Soft and Smokey and paired it with Bite Beauty’s Tori (dark plum) lipstick. Very happy with the result.

Your most used product this week: All my staples including sunscreen

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I used the YSL single Slate Green today and it is a beautiful forest green shade.

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/blue/gray eyes, warm brown hair.

Favorite look from the week: I did a very simple coral look using the Colourpop Sweet Talk Palette, using Dream Maker and Meadow in the crease, West Side on the outer corner packed on a bit for some depth, and Side2Side all over my lid. I smudged Work It on my bottom last line for a pop of color. Then I used the ND Darya palette on my cheeks and Colourpop Flower Szn blotted on my lips with the Patrick Ta gloss in “She’s Younger Than Me?” over top.

Your most used product this week: Milani Soft Focus Glow Enhancer mixed with my CeraVe daily moisturizer and Smashbox primerizer, Pixi Beauty Hydtrating Milky Mist and Multibalm in Soft Strawberry, and Laura Geller Baked Blush in Peach Delight (specifically over top of the multibalm stick).

Any beauty discoveries… That I have to stop using foundation for a while. My face has been breaking out in bouts of eczema and I’m trying to rule some things out. It’s been a bit better since I stopped using a certain primer and only been using concealer where I need it. Also, I tried the L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer and I really like it so far! I think I need to get a shade just a skotch darker, but the shade range is excellent, so that won’t be a problem.
