Too Faced Wham La Creme Lipstick
Too Faced Wham La Creme Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy plum with warm undertones and multi-colored glitter. It had semi-opaque color payoff, and the consistency was thick enough to fill up lip lines without emphasizing them. It glided on without tugging, but it didn’t slide around too much either. It was more similar to the La Creme formula than several of the other glittery shades in the spring launch, but it did lack the opacity of the average La Creme shade. On me, it wore for four and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing. This was also a more unique shade, due to the shimmer and warmer tones. NARS Christina (DC, $28.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Milani Chilled Brandy (P, $5.49) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Bite Beauty Sugar Flower (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Anastasia Cali Sunset (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Outspoken (LE, $18.00) is more muted (90% similar). Surratt Beauty Glitterati (P, $36.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Too Faced Ursula La Creme Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.10 oz.)is a dark, berry purple with subtle, cool undertones and multi-colored glitter (mostly pink and fuchsia). It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly but had a tendency to sit in lip lines, darkening them, and this became more noticeable after two hours of wear. The consistency was comfortable to wear with a lot of balminess, so it slides around quite a bit. I had slight feathering after three hours, and it lasted for four and a half hours. It was lightly hydrating. MAC Musky Amethyst (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). KVD Beauty Mercy (DC, $21.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Black Metal Dahlia (DC, $18.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Maybelline Copper Rose (P, $7.49) is more shimmery, less glossy (90% similar). Ciate Forbidden (P, $19.00) is more shimmery, cooler, less glossy (90% similar). KVD Beauty Wolvesmouth (DC, $21.00) is less shimmery, less glossy (85% similar). ColourPop 3-Way (LE, $6.00) is lighter, less glossy (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Jay (DC, $36.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Hot Flash (LE, $22.00) is cooler (85% similar). NYX Pure Society (P, $7.50) is less shimmery, cooler, less glossy (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Wes (DC, $36.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Alasdhair (LE, $36.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Pat McGrath Club Kiss (P, $40.00) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Little Pretty (130) (DC, $30.00) is less shimmery, lighter (80% similar). Too Faced Metallic Jelly (P, $21.00) is lighter, cooler, glossier (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Despite Wham having a B+ rating (I usually go for A- up) I will be purchasing this. It is a gorgeous color. I’m excited for its debut.
It’s not bad at all! I did like it 🙂
Soooooo festive! 😀 I probably wouldn’t wear them myself, but I do love how they scream ‘holiday season’.
Very true!
I’m going to have to get at least one of these sparkly lippies, because I’m such a little magpie. Not sure which one yet, but I’m sure I will be caving !
Which ones are you considering?
Well Ursula’s color will look better on me, but Wham has the better formula, so not sure yet. I would be all over Unicorn Tears if they had made it a sparkly lip gloss (like the Sephora Holographic Lip Gels) instead of a lipstick, as I plan to use it as a topper. But I might get Unicorn Tears, as the color is so unique and put it over a lip stain or matte lipstick. Decisions, decisions….
Wham! was the reason I bought this year’s Petit Tresor lipstick set, and I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. (I ended up really liking the two peachy nude shades that came in the set, too.) I love the color of Ursula, but not that it settles into lines. Do you think a lipliner under it would help?
I think a lip liner would definitely help!
Thank you. Ursula is a “maybe, ” then. I have Black Metal Dahlia, so I’m still waffling. At least with the new shades being permanent, I have time to consider.
I love, love Wham! I want it right now! It is so pretty!
I hope you can try it, Nicole!
I’m sure I will since it is permanent..Yeah! Christine do you think a lip liner would help Ursula enough?
Also, when would you think these would hit the web stores?
I think it would!
I’m not sure – maybe by January?
Great,Thanks!
Wow, Wham looks so pretty! And it’s unique? Well, that will get added to my collection as soon as it’s available in my store!
Definitely more unique than not!
I must have Wham! Such a beautiful shade on you, Christine!
So a definite “yes” to Wham, however Ursula has me thinking: A.) Buy it as a super cool topper for MAC Diva and other dark-deep reds or purples in my stash, or B.) Get OCC Black Metal Dahlia or *gasp* KVD Mercy instead.
Thank you, Nancy! 🙂
Nancy, I just got the mini duo,of KVD’ s Mercy with the lipstick & polish. It’s pretty awesome! I have OCC BMD as well. But honestly, I prefer the tube. So, I’m biased. I think it would look gorgeous with your coloring!
Tubes are definitely easier to use, especially if I need to touch-up while on the bus! I really am tempted by Mercy….although I literally swore I would never buy her stuff.
What is funny is that I used to wear those deep, shimmery lipsticks quite often back when! Even when my hair was different colors, which more often than not, it was.
I like that glittery effect. It looks pretty!
Oh WOW – these look amazing and like so much fun for the holiday season.
Love both of these colours and it’s a shame that the Ursula colour didn’t rate better because I love this one best of all. They both suit you Christine.
Wham is better than I thought it would be!
These lipsticks are quite beautiful and a 360 degree turn from mattes! I’m in love with Ursula!!
Monica.
Those lipstick shades are nice… but **DANG**!! Can we talk about that TF Bon Bons Palette!?! That eye look is STUNNING on you, Christine! Yeah… looks like I’ll be adding yet another palette to my collection… sigh…
Dose it feel glittery like with some of the mufe lipsticks it fells like sand on ur lips
Ooh, I love both colours, both pack a punch! Shame they didn’t perform better though.
Love them!! There are not enough glittery lip products out there, if you ask me! I noticed “flavor/aroma” in the ingredients; what do these smell/taste like to you? Still lemony like the 2014 release?
I love Wham, and i never thought i would be drawn to that much glitter! Seems like glittery, shimmery lips are up-and-coming for next season, doesn’t it?
I liked Wham better than Ursula but both may be too dark for me.
Glad to see some pretty simmmery lipsticks! I’m getting tired of the dry matte one’s already! Wish I hadn’t purchased so many. These look so pretty and festive. Love the eye look too!
Thanks, Denise! Hoping we’ll at least get more variety in finishes this coming year 😀
What a pity Ursula sets in lip lines, I really like it. I must say I like Wham a lot too, so maybe I’ll get it, it doesn’t look like anything I’ve got.
I saw it and fell in love! With it, you want a holiday!
ordered Wham
Even though these didn’t receive the best ratings, this is the kind of bold color I feel more comfortable with–a tad more sheer and with lots of sparkle. And just when I had decided to go on a serious no-buy of lip products after the new year. :-/
Oooh, these are so cute! I’m a bit of a lipstick fiend, but I don’t own any Too Faced lippies yet — I might have to start with this collection!
Wham is GORGEOUS!
Wham is flipping gorgeous and the only one out of their new la cremes I’m interested in! Maaaaaybe Unicorn Tears (after seeing it on you over Bittersweet, Im thinking it might be worth it!)
These remind me quite a bit of the sparkly UD Saturated Gloss lippies/Milani Lip Flash pencils. Might swatch ’em and see. If they were slightly less of a glitterbomb than those, it would probably be a good thing. But I like glittery things.
