Too Faced Rosy Glow Candlelight Glow
Too Faced Rosy Glow Candlelight Glow ($30.00 for 0.35 oz.) features a light, white gold paired with a gold-shimmered pink. The warmer shimmer dominates against my skin tone, but I think it’ll pull a little cooler (the base color will be stronger) on fairer and cooler complexions. The texture of both powders was nice, though the right side was shimmery enough to emphasize pores.
Rosy Glow (Left) is a cool-toned white with warmer, golden beige shimmer that gives it a frosted finish. It adds a luminous glow to the skin that is just shy of pore-emphasizing-territory. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable without being powdery or too firm. The color lasted for eight hours on me. LORAC Star Reader (LE, $23.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). Artist Couture Gold Digger (P, $27.00) is warmer (95% similar). J. Cat Beauty White Goddess (-, $9.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). ColourPop Lunch Money (P, $10.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Illamasqua Aurora (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC Gypsum (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker, less pigmented (90% similar). ColourPop Jubilant Chorus (LE, $10.00) is cooler (90% similar). Coloured Raine No Flash Needed (P, $25.00) is darker (90% similar). ColourPop Stole the Show (P, $10.00) is cooler (90% similar). Rosy Glow (Right) is a light, cooler-toned pink paired with warm, gold frosted shimmer. I expect cooler complexions to see a stronger pink tone. The finish on this one was more shimmery and was closer to metallic on the skin, so it can emphasize pores if not applied with a lighter hand. It had a smooth and blendable texture, though, and it didn’t look or feel powdery. On me, it started to fade after eight hours. ColourPop Urth (P, $10.00) is more shimmery, cooler (95% similar). MAC Love This Bitch (LE, $34.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Cle de Peau Bal Masque (LE, $120.00) is cooler (90% similar). Maybelline Iridescent (100) (P, $9.99) is less pigmented, cooler (90% similar). Fenty Beauty Vintage Velour (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Tarte Worthy (LE, $29.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Tarte Stunner (P, $28.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). ColourPop Just for Us (P, $7.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Tarte Stunner (PiP, ) is darker (85% similar). Dior Pink Glow (002) (P, $50.00) is more muted (90% similar). Cle de Peau Delicate Pink (14) (P, $55.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). L'Oreal Ice (P, $12.99) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Becca Parisian Lights (LE, $38.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). Chanel Premieres Fleurs (LE, $70.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Sydney Grace Pink Lightning (P, $8.00) is more shimmery, darker, more muted (85% similar). L'Oreal Rose (P, $12.99) is darker (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Nude Glow (Bottom) (LE, ) is less shimmery (85% similar). ColourPop Scrumptious (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). ColourPop Fanny Pack (PiP, $10.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Sugar Trap (P, $7.00) is less shimmery, darker, more muted (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. I don’t think this would look flattering on me… Too light and shimmery, it would just draw too much attention to my pores and add unwanted sheen.
Oh, yes. Pale mama like.
I like this. but, maybe not for me as it looks as a bit stark for my taste. I’ll need to check it out in person if Sephora ever gets it back in the store near me,lol. I like the warm version though! This will be really nice on lighter complexions though.
Even though this pairing is quite lovely and both shades look great on you, I already have that perfect dupe for Nars Albatross, which is about as pale as I can go. That and LN Matte Radiance Highlight 01.
Interesting to see this performs better than Anastasia’s Starlight and Becca’s Moonstone, and as good as Dior’s Glowing Pink illuminator, as well as being cheaper! Definitely thinking about buying this!
The embosssing is pretty! It’s interesting how the pink shade is a dupe for Cle De Peau and the latest Dior highlighter, Pink Glowing Gardens.
The pink side is like Too Faced Satin Sheets eye shadow, it looks pink in the pan, but shows up gold on the skin. I wish it was pinker.
It definitely has that same pink/gold frost coloring!
I was thinking the same thing! And I have Colour Pop Lunch Money already so I’m set. 😉 Also the shade Sprinkles could be the pink version of this one as well.
But out of the two shades I feel like this one would be more flattering on fair skin tones.
I thought the same when I saw the swatch! It looks like Satin Sheets in a highlighter form!
So funny, I was about to comment the same thing! it’s exactly like satin sheets
Isn’t this the same one that’s been out for a long time? I thought the new one was more peachy?
They revamped both for spring 🙂 It wasn’t clear if they changed the formula as well, but when I read the spring info initially, it sounded like a redo so I wanted to test this one for you as well. I already reviewed the new shade weeks ago, though! Sorry if this was unhelpful – I misjudged then!
I found it very helpful. This is going to my wish list. I really like it. Too Faced haven’t been available here very long, so I find myself a bit unfamiliar with their products, even though I have collected quite a few.
I should probably check what you have said about their products earlier.
But, this is a pretty duo, and I want it.
Both shades looks good on you, I think, not much in the way of pores visable.
Glad it could help, Helene 🙂
Christine, this looks extraordinarily pretty on you and your pores look invisible on the areas where you applied it.
Thank you, Mariella! 🙂
I see what you mean about the pink size emphasizing pores if you are not careful. Hmmm – that would be a deal breaker for some. I also think the pink side (not that I would wear a pink) should be a little more pigmented.
It looks very pretty on you though.
Soooo pretty!
What often happens with me is that gold shimmer stands out in contrast to my cool undertones, so these might look more dramatic on me than I’d really like — I wish they would do colors like this, but with silver shimmer rather than gold.
I could definitely see that! I find that happens with me with NARS Albatross, actually.
I had seen this the other day in the store. I was wondering if it was good or not. Thanks for the review! It looks lovely on you!
My pleasure, Lupe! xo
I like the look of this one but I think it’s a bit much for someone with pores like mine! It’s funny, since using Good Genes and Luna, I don’t look like I have huge pores until the makeup hits and then it’s like WTF, where did you come from?
I found this extremely helpful. I love that you work so hard to get us new releases up fast. But I also look forward to the times you review revamped products or especially products that have been out long enough to be established but for whatever reason you’ve never reviewed them. I think I like this kind so much because every v/blogger is feeding our new product hunger but of course it’s the same products everywhere. Finding you’ve just reviewed beautiful gems like this that I have had in my hands and put back or in my cart and removed because I just didn’t know enough about it is so exciting!!
Oh wow….I wasn’t expecting the pink side to swatch like that.
Thanks for reviewing this. I’ve been curious about it for a long time. It’s nice to finally see how it looks and performs on the skin.
