Melted Gold

Too Faced Melted Gold Liquified Gold Lip Gloss ($21.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a rich, molte gold with warm, copper undertones and a glossy, metallic sheen. It had buildable coverage from medium (one layer) to fully opaque (two layers), which was in line with the brand’s marketing. The consistency was smooth and mostly non-sticky initially, but as the gloss set, it felt a bit thinner and was very sticky. On the upside, the gloss sat well on m y lips–it didn’t gather noticeably into my lip lines and the finish was ridiculously shiny, which gave the illusion of smoother lips.

If you’re someone who loathes tackiness in their lip products, I don’t think this would be for you, but if you love high-shine, over-the-top metallic goodness that’s long-wearing (six and a half hours!), this might be a contender. The formula was lightly hydrating over time and had a subtle, sweet scent to me.

Well, at least Too Faced is staying on point with lipsticks, highlighters, and bronzers! I will forever be in awe on how beautiful anything gold or copper looks on you, Christine.

I love all the shiny things! Just wish I had a reason to buy this. I would rock the OTT gold but on a holiday. Just bad timing for me. Although it’s going on my maybe list for if I catch a good deal. Thanks for the review and pics!

Christine, while you were testing did you later it over another lip product? Do you think it could be used this way? Thanks.

I don’t see why it couldn’t be layered (but I think anything could be layered/mixed? I’m not sure what would make it so it couldn’t be!) – it’s just going to be fairly opaque so it will change whatever it is put on top of.

That is such a beautiful shade of gold and I think it would absolutely stun if it were layered over red, berry or brown lipstick. At least Too Faced is doing something right. it all looks gorgeous on you Christine.

Wow Too Faced is redeeming themselves after all the ridiculously excessive (and low quality) peach themed products!
I love this but I have the Bite dupe so idk if ill get it!
