Tom Ford Ambrosia Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Ambrosia
Tom Ford Beauty Ambrosia Eye Color Quad ($90.00 for 0.35 oz.) was another disappointment in the Tom Ford fall collection. Tom Ford frequently includes a more emollient, often sheerer, sparkly shade in their quads, but the ones included in Ambrosia were quite dry and firmer, which made them difficult to pick up, have poor adhesion, and more prone to fallout.
Ingredients

Ambrosia
LELimited Edition. $90.00.

Ambrosia #1
Ambrosia #1 is a light copper with moderate, warm orange-based undertones and a sparkling finish. I was surprised at how dry it felt–not nearly as emollient or as smooth as most of the brand’s sparkly shades in past quads.
- Semi-sheer pigmentation; hard to build up
- Firmly-pressed, drier, and picked up poorly with a brush
- Prone to fallout during application, needed to be applied with an adhesive base/spray
- Shorter wear (6 hours), moderate fallout over time

Omg my favorite brand going down the drain. The end of an era?
How SAD. The color story is very pretty and one that I would have loved if the QUALITY had been present. Those two “shimmers” look dry and dusty like our infernal, seemingly endless Phoenix metro area summer!
Yikes, again. How terrible and frustrating, not to mention expensive. This is why your blog is so invaluable. A lot of people would have shelled out a lot of money to buy this substandard palette and then been so disappointed. In other countries, they cannot return items like we can in the USA. That would be devastating.
Disgraceful – this is worse than a DS brand of eyeshadows!
The preview image on the main page has some sort of glitch where it just says Reviews: NO and that is objectively very funny in this case.
Fixed!
