Tangled

Sydney Grace Tangled Pressed Blush ($9.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a deeper, pink-leaning dusty coral with moderate, warm undertones paired with a semi-matte finish. It had an incredibly smooth, velvety texture that had some powderiness in the pan. It was also intensely pigmented–a little went a long way–so I recommend applying this with a less-dense brush and/or with a lighter hand. The powder blended out well, but I found that it was pigmented to the point where it took some effort to sheer out and dial the color back down if over-applied. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

$9.00/0.25 oz. - $36.00 Per Ounce

It's a more pigmented blush, so it favors those who need or want richer coverage achieved with less product or in one layer, but those who prefer sheerer, more buildable blush may find there is a learning curve. The formula was very blendable and easy to work with, so I think it is more forgiving, particularly shades with some shimmer in them. The matte shades can be slightly powdery but do not look dry or dusty when applied, though they can darken a bit if not applied over drier or more matte skin (or a base). They wore between eight and 10 hours on me before fading noticeably.

I really love this blush. It is a very pretty coral and while I don’t wear that many corals. this could definitely work. Unfortunately, I have a gazillion blushes so I don’t need another one. It is my goal to use what I have this year and to pare down my collection to a manageable size. I have been giving a lot of thought to moving closer to healthcare and some where with at least a couple of neighbors who can help me if I “fall and can’t get up”. I fell again yesterday while out plowing snow and it has become a bit of a common occurrence. So far I haven’t hurt myself bad enough to worry about but I am not getting any younger.

Glad you are okay, Deborah, but I hope that you fall less! I could definitely see being closer to some neighbors being useful, though!

I didn’t pick this up. It’s so nice. It seems to be a coral I might enjoy.. more red in the base. I can go with the rationalization that it looks far too pigmented for my tastes. But I’m putting it in long term wishlist.
