Swatches: NABLA Cosmetics Eyeshadows (x57)
NABLA Cosmetics Eyeshadows
NABLA Cosmetics Eyeshadows ($8.00 to $12.00) comes in a variety of shades (somewhere over 60 shades, I believe), and I have 57 of them swatched below. The price varies based on the finish, and they can be purchased as pan-only or as individual compacts.
Pegasus has my FULL attention!
Wow! Pegasus, Eresia and Lotus! There are so many others but these totally grabbed me!
ooooo, thank you so much for this! I’ve been eyeing their site for a while now.
Thanks so much for these. I know Rachel and others have scored some of these and love them. Am I correct to assume that they come in straight pan, as well as compact? The colors I favor are pretty decent in this line. Not to mention that YOUR swatches tell us so much more than the brand website. As usual, you scored the vast majority, and present something for everyone. Typical Christine: thoughtful and organized. We all love you.
Yes, they definitely come in straight pans for placement in a magnetized palette, kjh. That is how I purchase them and a lot of times when the individual pots are sold out the pans are still available and that is my preferred way to purchase them.
The Nabla mattes are among the best I’ve used. The shimmers/glitters are not my absolute favourite texture but they do perform well on the eye 🙂
And I like that they have some really unusual shades.
So many very lovely and fun shades!
Blue Velvet, Pegasus, New Heaven, Lotus, Unrestricted and San are ones I’m looking forward to hearing more about!

Oooh – so many gorgeous colours (brights and neutrals) and textures. And as there are made in Italy (and an Italian company, I’m guessing), they’re not on my “no buy” list.
Where are these wonderful eye shadows available? There are a few I want!!!
I bought mine through NABLA direct as well as some from Beauty Bay!
These look interesting, I’m looking forward to the full review.
If anyone was wondering why the name NABLA gives them a subliminal “yuck” feeling, it might be the similarity with NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association, pariahs of the GLBT+ community and mostly known these days from a South Park plot-line). NABLA is an Italian brand, which is probably why they chose the name anyway, but personally, this association will never not bother me. I sincerely wish that they had written it Nabla or even $\Nabla$ (not commerce, but TeX speak) to get the math/physics association with Del or the covariant derivative/Laplacian which is apparently what they meant, but all caps makes it look like a acronym and there’s already one that is distressingly close.
Lol as an Australia NABLAH sounds completely fine to me. I’ve never heard of the association you’re referring to and I doubt a lot of non Americans have either.
That Lotus shade!! It’s so hard to find good, pigmented, matte lavenders & lilacs. I hope it reviews well!
I am so excited that you are reviewing these Christine. I have around 20 shades all in pan only and can switch them from larger magnetized palettes to smaller ones for travel. I love the matte shades and I don’t really have trouble with the shimmers as I always use primers but they perform really well for me and last all day. I don’t get any fall out from the shimmers so overall, I love all of them. I order directly from the NABLA website, (as far as I know that is the only place to get them but could be wrong.) and shipping is super fast. I have ordered and gotten my package in 3 days from Italy and that it to Montana. If anyone is interested, the Creative Director for Nabla has a YT channel where he does makeup tutorials using NABLA shadows but not exclusively. His YT handle is MrDanielMakeup, I believe. The Dreamy palette is wonderful and I use it a lot. They have another palette out now which is Soul Blooming which I haven’t picked up yet since I am suppose to be on a no-buy. I will probably cave and get it though! I haven’t not tried their liquid lipsticks yet but have used the bullet lipsticks and like them also. Anyway, that is my two cents about the brand from my experience.
I have the Soul Blooming palette and love I!! I really like their bullet lipsticks. They go on so smooth.
I recently discovered this company and love their products!!
Thank you Christine for the swatches!!
I know you’re on a no/low buy Deborah, but Soul Blooming is GORGEOUS and you will love it! 🙂
I’ve had mine for 3 days and it’s surprisingly versatile.
Do you plan on purchasing and reviewing the shades that you are missing from their collection?
Oh i’m so happy you review Nabla. I already have Aphrodite and Fahrenheit.
Wow, you are on a roll recently with your swatches!! I’ve always been interested in Nabla’s singles but haven’t seen many reviews so have been wary. Can’t wait to see what you think of them!! Some of the bright mattes look very intriguing!
An incredible range of shades with a variety of finishes at a reasonable price. The mattes look a little patchy but the shimmers are beautiful.
There are some interesting and tantalizing greens from all over the spectrum, cool toned neutrals, plus Madreperla looks like a more unusual duochrome. Some shades are pretty dupeable, but there are also some more uncommon shades like Zoe and Freestyler. I’m drawn to Interference, Moonrise and Ground State with Sensuelle (patted over the middle on top of Ground State) as a soft purpley, taupey, mauvey eye quad.
Pegasus looks like Colourpop’s Prowlin’ on me. Selfish top coat reminds me of UD Ether Moondust. All in all, aside from some of the patchy mattes, and common dupes it’s a very nice collection!
Well, even though I need another eyeshadow like I need some kind of illness, I’m interested. Lilac Wonder, Snowberry, and Calypso are calling to me. I’ve never tried Nabla, this might the time to dip my toe in.
Oh no! No alchemy! This is such an unique shade! Please please try it!
Holy smokes Christine! That’s a ton of swatching! Thanks for all your hard work on this. My arm has sympathies for you as well.
Thank you SO MUCH for swatching these! I’ve been dying to get Blue Velvet and Erisia, but I’d also like to purchase a few more, and this will help me decide which are too close to what I have already and which are worth a purchase. I appreciate it so much!
Looking at these swatches, my thought was most of these looked terrible. Underpigmented and muted but then reading these comments, it looks like Im the only one who thinks this?
The shimmers don’t really wow me (at least for the majority) and some mattes seem disappointing. I am curious to see how they perform though. That’s what really matters after all 🙂
Wow, thanks for all these swatches! I’ve never tried this brand, but have heard good things. Most of the shimmers look really good. Pegasus, Lotus, Eresia, New Heaven, Citron, Babylon, and Selfish all piqued my interest.
Thank you so much for the swatches Christine! They will be really handy when I place my next order. Right now I’m eyeing Pegasus and Lilac Wonder. Nabla cosmetics is awesome. I have the two eyeshadow palettes and I love them. As for the singles, Water Dream is a great topper and it looks good over any shade imo.
I actually just purchased Absinthe and Alchemy (not seen here)! Your swatch of Absinthe definitely looks less duochrome-y compared to others I’ve seen; I hope it has a stronger shift on the eye or over primer! I might have to add Extravirgin to my wishlist as well.
