SUQQU Yawakouki (05) Pure Color Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Yawakouki (05)
SUQQU Yawakouki (05) Pure Color Blush ($34.00 for 0.26 oz.) is a light-medium, peachy orange with warm undertones–leaning yellower–paired with fine, golden shimmer. The finish had a low to moderate luminosity to it, enough that it was detectable but it did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture or look truly shiny.
The powder formula is supposed to combine a “subtle glow” and a “pop of color.” It had an incredibly soft, smooth, and finely-milled consistency that kicked up a bit of powder in the pan, but it sat well on the skin and did not appear dry or dusty at all. The color blended out with ease, but it is light enough that it is going to work better on lighter skin tones than mine as it just barely showed on me. It was richly pigmented, which seemed more pigmented than as described, but I think the formula is forgiving enough that it is easily sheered out, so it is unlikely to be an issue for most. I could see the blush starting to fade slightly after eight hours of wear.

I love the finish and shimmer, but will consider another color as this is too light for me
Totally understand! This is more of a highlighter for me!
Looks beautiful! I’m hoping that one day, Selfridges will have a free shipping offer or that Suqqu will eventually be sold in the US. I saw that this year there will be a Suqqu brush set. All brushes in one case and the price is lower than the Tom Ford holiday set.
The brush set was on Selfridges last I saw, actually! It’s not badly priced, though I have not done the math on it.
Selfridges does offer free express shipping to the U.S. for a year for 40 pounds (as in, currency), which isn’t bad given it is normally 30 pounds per order!
I don’t think Suqqu will sell in the U.S. I think it has to do with the ingredients, particularly the color. There is always a delay when I get color shadows. I just received the eye brush set from Harrods. The service is impeccable. But there can be miscommunications for I ordered via email and placed my credit card number over the phone. I prefer Harrods over Selfridge. I was charged custom charges twice with Selfridge in addition to shipping. I should had order a blush like this. Instead I order the concealer and chose four colors.
Not related to the blush, but damn I love your eye look! Gonna try something similar tomorrow now.
Thank you, A!
I think this has a really nice amount of glow — good for fair-to-light, warm-to-neutral complexions.
I agree! I love the finish. I wish the other shades would come back in stock!
I dunno about this one!! It’s beautiful on you, but I just feel “meh” about it!!
Ah, well, maybe next time!
This blush is really beautiful for a subtle glow and looks lovely on you Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
That’s prettier than it looks in the pan. It’s always nice to see blushes for the fair-skinned.
It is!
This looks great on you! Goes very well will the eye look, and provides just enough subtle healthy glow. Love it Christine!
Aw, thanks Becky!
If it only barely shows up on you, it definitely won’t even do a thing on me. But could look alright on a very fair or pale person with warm undertones, I think.
Yes, I think it’ll suit lighter skin tones better!
Looks so pretty in the pan! And on you, for that matter 🙂
This looks so pretty on your skin tone!
I think this might be a good choice for me in the future. It’s yellow base might help disguise redness.
