Chanel Innocent (14) Rouge Allure Gloss Review, Photos, Swatches
Innocent (14)
Chanel Innocent (14) Rouge Allure Gloss ($37.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and very fine, light pink pearl. It had good color coverage, though not fully opaque, that went on without streaking, but some of the color settled into my lower lip lines noticeably.
The Rouge Allure Gloss formula is supposed to have “the colour intensity of a lipstick” with the “shine of a lipgloss” paired with “long-wearing coverage” that “instantly hydrates.” It’s a formula most suited for someone who likes more pigmented gloss, doesn’t mind some tackiness, and needs hydration. The texture had a light-medium weight to it with a light to moderate tackiness, which developed over time. It was comfortable to wear, as it was quite smooth and felt hydrating over the five hours it lasted.

It looks like a pretty, easy-to-wear color, but for $ 37, I would go for a more unique color or finish, or even lipstick
Totally understand! Especially as glosses can expire faster than a lipstick!
Pretty, but… I’m not really into lip gloss, so it’s hard for me to picture spending $37 for one… the Revlon glosses that I just got for 20% at ULTA seem just fine to me — wore Pink Ruby today, got compliments 🙂
That makes sense to me! I feel like someone who wears mostly glosses would be more willing to splurge vs. someone who doesn’t really wear gloss often!
Yes, I’m perfectly willing to spend extra on a lipstick with, say, a unique finish even if I have one in a similar color, because I’m really into lipsticks. With gloss, I use it so seldom I never finish even half before I feel like it’s not sanitary any more.
I just bought this actually, and I’m enjoying it. Spot on review, it certainly doesn’t wear as long as CHANEL claims it does, but I really like it nonetheless.
I bet it’s very easy to wear for you!
Everything about this is utter perfection for me! So pretty applied! And then I read the dreaded words: “settled into lower lip lines noticeably”. Why so many lighter shades fail in this department, I haven’t a clue. ?
I feel like it might be more noticeable with the lighter colors than it is with darker ones, in general!
Lovely! Definitely my kind of color. Not my kind of price point though…
I quite like the color. It’s nice to see a warm pink. Looks great on you, Christine!
Pretty but I think for $37 there should be no lip lines and should feel extra hydrating!
