That’s a lovely selection without glittery mess! I can picture a lot of daily looks just looking at the palette. Wish could make me buy the palette (I wouldn’t want to be using it twice a year!)
Little rant? (Because we always need one!) I don’t think n.8 and n.12 would appear any different once applied on my lid !
I’m looking forward to your review and stunning looks Christine 🙂
I thought the same thing about the blackened shades. I don’t believe I am getting this–it is quite lovely but I believe I can dupe a lot of this palette and I would rather not blow that kind of money on lots of dupes as much as I respect Marc Jacobs (I can save the $ for his other stuff) unless the formulas are superior to what I currently have.
On the other hand, I can already see 6 looks I am itching to do with this so perhaps I will wait on reviews…. ?
You’re right, I will definitly wait on the review and throughly check the dupe list. I don’t have so much eyeshadows do be really concerned by dupes yet… but it would be a bit stupid to buy a pricey item for the exact same shades!
I would love to see a blog comparing this one from 2016 to last years from Marc Jacobs. Always love Temp’s blogs thou
Have it….love it!
Hmmm, some of these look dry, but overall swatches look good to decent. But this is going to be a pass for me. With the exception of 1 blackish purple, there’s no blues/purples/greens here, it’s mostly your standard neutrals that I have many dupes for. Very disappointed. And it looks like there are 3 shades of black that look almost the same. What’s up with that??
Actually now that you’ve said it, I can see it. Not my colours either.
There are some veeeery nice colors in there!
Horray can’t wait for the review! I missed the previous holiday palette…hope this one is just as good…
Wow..so pretty I really like those swatches
#8 seems to be the only dud here. My favorite is #11 but almost all of these hold appeal. I’ll wait for the final verdict before plunking down my money.
It looks very pretty and most of the colors seem to swatch nicely, however, it seems that a lot of those colors are…dupable? I’m looking forward to Christine’s review. I’m leaning more towards not purchasing this though.
Looks like great quality shadows again! I wish they included more color variety (i.e., throwing in a bright green, a bright blue, a bright magenta, etc.)
Hmmmm….swatches look promising and I have yet to try Marc Jacobs makeup. Maybe this will be a good reason to start. Though I agree with Kathleen…why put 3 black shadows in a palette.
Well, crap. I needed not to want this. Now I want it. ?
Despite this being a little steep for my budget I’d save my pennies and buy it if the reviews are favorable, the colors look fantastic, want this!
Damn. I was really looking forward to this release, but looking at the palette and swatches, I know I have either exact or very close dupes for every shade. I can’t justify spending $100 on a palette that isn’t presenting me with any unique shades. I imagine a lot of people will love it though.
Yes! My thoughts as well. I think this is a very attractive palette; has all the right elements I like in one, but my eye says I can easily dupe.
Sings in Kimberly Clark’s voice “What I’m not gonna buy-aye”
I would use about half of the shades, though there is a nice mix of textures and undertones.
Def worth a swatch. Near blacks like Nars night shadows all look only black on me. Lots of those here. More impressed, now that I see the swatches. Though some certainly won’t get As. One nice thing about this palette is that it’s pretty idiot proof. As Marie Estelle noted, the combinations are quite evident. It’s more cohesive/less varied than last year’s. Guess it all comes down to the dupes. Just as soon not want this one, with my heart set on the Viseart bijoux. Not that they are anything alike….
Same dilemma… I might have to choose between those two LE 🙁 !
While this looks pretty darn good , it lacks the oomph of last year’s edition. It does seem to be the near *perfect* neutral/naked/nude palette if one doesn’t already have one, and also has $99 spare bucks to throw at it!
You summed up my thought exactly.
Lol, looks like no. 8 and no. 12 swatch almost exactly the same to me, even though they look different in the pan.
I’m on the fence… several really nice shades, but I have to look into my stash for possible dupes. The reviews will also matter a lot. This is pricey for my budget, so jury is out yet.
Somehow colors are not special enough, especially at that price point. Would have preferred a smaller palette with a more cohesive (and special) color theme.
Better colours than in the Last big Palette but still too much matte eyeshadows for me. If it was not so expensive I would not mind, but for this Price I can only accept one or two shadows I Do not like.
What a beauty…that make me want to be in Autumn now!! And what to say about last night?? lol 🙂
Even though most of these are not my colours, I can appreciate that there is a really good mixture of mattes and light shimmers.
One of my cons re the Spectrum palette is that there is a little too much glitz and shimmer.
I may give this a shot. Last year’s was beautiful but really didn’t wow me when I would use it.
Pass for me. I am pretty fair and I’m a shimmer queen and I don’t buy palettes that done have at least one pale shimmer.
Usually these jumbo palettes have 1 or 2 shades that ruin it for me, to be overdramatic, but I’m loving every single one of these!
Amazing palette and it’s making me drool! The quality looks really nice given the price so I’d gladly pick this up for the holidays!
Not going to get it. Too many of the eyeshadows look dupable to me. Rather get the Viseart.
You are the best! Thank you for continually posting swatches as quickly as possible- I can’t wait to hear what you think about this one. I have ‘the lover’ palette by MJ and I like the formula a lot.
I really appreciate the mix of colors here. I look forward to reviews!
I see quite a few colours that look wonderful, judging by the way they swatch, and look very “wantable”. I’m hoping I’ve got dupes for them because there are far too many shades that seem mediocre or too much like one another and for $124 in Canada, that makes it no great bargain. I’ll be watching for the dupes for the shades that have caught my eye – 4, 6, 8, 14 and 19.
…oh, and #11 – how could I leave out that beauty?
I caved and bought it asap after it launched and LOVE it
Give me “About Last Night” solo and I’ll be happy
I wasn’t interested in last year’s palette. However, this one might have to come home with me. Can’t wait for your review Christine!
Just totally waiting on baited breath for your review on this!!! It looks so-so based on swatches compared to last year’s (which I own!) and I think that’s bc of the type of shades they included this time around. A matte purple? Always a bad idea. Glittery black? Always a bad idea. Le sigh. I do really want it…but it it’s only B-range I might have to pass.
This palette looks pretty versatile love the shade selection in these!
I do hope this will perform well. I really like this palette, I can see it getting a lot of use.
