NARS Velvet Lip Glide
NARS Velvet Lip Glide ($26.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a new liquid lip color from NARS that’s supposed to be a hybrid between lipstick and gloss. I’ll be testing these out over the next few weeks (they don’t launch until September 6th at the earliest, for Sephora VIB/VIB Rouges, so I’ll be timing my reviews to be closer to that availability). Here are swatches in the meanwhile!

Oh goodness, they almost all look stunning! I don’t need any of these, but want of course. Anyone seen that movie, Cloudy with Meatballs? The brands are all cranking out winners left and right– I feel like it’s raining lipsticks this year!!

I will take them all minus Area. Playpen and Bound are stunning. They are all stunning but those shades between nude and MLBB are quite nice in coverage and finish. All the darker shades and reds are a duh for me. FML. Then the next questions is how these will compare to the glosses from Anastasia.

OMG, Unspeakable and Toy. I have been DYING for a glossy, fully pigmented deep plum wine shade for fall. If the reviews are good, I NEED THIS.
These look great. My favorites are Mineshaft, Danceteria, and Toy Velvet.
I especially like Playpen, La Mein Bleue and No. 54.
The colours Stripped and Unlaced are exactly what I’ve been looking for on my hunt for a dupe for Urban Decay’s Lip Junkie in Peroxide!
La Main Bleue and unspeakable will be mine! I love glossy lips and berry colors; these look like the perfect transition to fall.

These look similar to the consistency of Chanel’s Giggle, which would make them a nice alternative in terms of the formula. Deviant and Unlaced are quite pretty, but I am surprised that the three reds in the line are so similar.

I like Playpen and Bound; they are perfect everyday shades 🙂 I would LOVE to pull off Toy, though! I’m going to give it a try once these hit the counter. Good god, lippies much this fall???
They look great but I was hoping they were liquid lipsticks. When it comes to gloss, my ABH is perfect for quality and Price and I’m not the biggest NARS fan but I can’t pass up trying them out so one or two will def be joining the collection
So pretty! I like Playpen and, surprisingly, the all the reds. Was I the only one who thought these would be matte because of the word “velvet” in the product name?

Dang! Even after several days I can hardly decide which ones I love the most and narrow it down to only a few choices! Toy, Bound, Deviant and No. 54 are definitely at the top!
