Sneak Peek: MAC Bangin' Brilliant Blushes & Eyeshadows Photos & Swatches
MAC Bangin’ Brilliant Eyeshadows
Here’s a quick peek at the new and permanent blushes (all five) and powder eyeshadows (12 of 14) from the
MAC Bangin’ Brilliant Collection. The blushes are actually eyeshadow-sized (I double-checked that!) and will be the same price as the eyeshadows.
MAC is still one of my favorite eyeshadow formulas (they last much better on me than the buttery shadows like Makeup Forever), and these look beautiful. And I love that they will be permanent!
I’m absolutely loving the look of some of these… But eyeshadow sized blushes, really MAC? 🙁
There are several nice colors here, but I’m Into it and Zinc Blue look so beautiful and pigmented from the swatches. I look forward to the full review!
As long as the pot will fit an acceptable blush brush, I think the sizing is a great idea. The smaller size at a smaller price means you can pick up more colors 🙂 Bright Response reminds me a lot of Becca Tigerlily.
Question – is the blush formula the same acrross the Bangin’ Brilliant pots (are the blush powders different from the eyeshadows)? I was thinking that Suspiciously Sweet and Fashion’s Field day would make great blushes, too!
It’s the same Powder Blush formula they have always had.
OMG, look at that pigment!!! Are these MAC shadows???? My jaws have hit the keyboard! Even the 4 blues look stunning. In the Shadows is my kind of blue, but I have enough dupes. Zinc is probably the best matte royal blue I’ve seen in ages! If it scores half way decently, I’m getting it for sure. And Suspiciously Sweet is stunning, looks like it could double as a blush. And the blushes are pigmented too. And everything’s permanent too (whew). Great job MAC! Where were these when they had their 15% off sale??
I wonder if they intended for the blushes to be eyeshadows but they contain carmine so technically need to have that “may not be eye safe” warning like most dual purpose products
That’s my assumption, which I didn’t really care for, but it’ll depend on where they are on the display, I guess… it’s just hard not to imagine they’ll be on the eyeshadow display since they would not fit with the other blushes!
Clever girl (no offense, Erin.) but, if you have a carmine problem, would you want it on your cheeks anyway? Most of these are fab, esp the blues. Decent blues, wow.
I’m not allergic to carmine (or the other red dyes some people can have a reaction to) but I think it tends to be specific to the eyes. Meaning they can wear red blush or lipstick but not red eyeliner.
These swatches have me lookin’ 😀
Hi, did MAC let you know when these will be released? I’ve been watching the site since they were announced. Ruddy is to die for!
No, they do not have a date!
I saw them in store yesterday (on the eyeshadow stand)
Thank you! I’ll have to check them out. I’ll be waiting to buy them in pans so I can pop them in my palettes.
Hi, Christine! Do you know if they will be released in pan form as well at some point? Many thanks!
same question here!
Wow! Suspiciously sweet looks really nice, I’m into it looks like the perfect deep wine color and I’m hoping oh my mocha isn’t too similar to antiqued because that would look great as a liner for the lower lash line! Even the blues look amazing and I already have enough bright eyeshadows that I hardly ever wear… I’m excited to see how well these perform 🙂
I don’t know if I got it, only 12 of the 14 shadows are permanent or everything from the collection is permanent but you are missing two shadows?
Wow, these look pretty darn good! Color me surprised. Love the colors.
Fashion’s Field Day is pretty… I ASSUME (bad idea I know) these will launch in Pro Pan form as well? But I haven’t heard any mention of it – have you gotten any information saying yes or no to that?
Sorry, they did not give me an answer!
I hope these come in pro pan form. Simply because I can see makeup artist wanting these in their kit. I’m looking forward to the reviews because they remind me of Kat Von D shadow shades as well.
It’s just so nice to see MAC put out quality looking products. T-T
Oh My Mocha, dang skippy with that!!! And Ruddy, too! Gorgeous blues and a green that looks *familiar*….?
I think Field Day would be a pretty little addition to a lipstick – in a small portion.
YAY – these look wonderful! I really like I’m Into It, Suspiciously Sweet, Ruddy and a few others. Can’t wait!
The eyeshadows look vibrant and opaque. I might need to get a blue.
I’m in love!
New Crop is gorgeous, but How Royal is just so intense, its kinda mesmerizing.
My understanding from friends there is that the eyeshadows may be the initial debut of the reformulation 🙂 (hence why the permanent collection was major discounted months ago)
I don’t have a lot of MAC shadows, and after they discounted many to $6, I was praying/hoping they were going to re-formulate. If this is what the new formula looks like, I’m in!!
Love those! It’s nice to see Mac bring out some good shades, I think they’re feeling the competition from smaller brands!
How Royal is so pretty!
I wont wear most of these colors but I admit they look so beautiful and very pigmented. I am glad to hear they will be permanent because now I can use my empties; I will be purchasing the Zink Blue and possibly the new shade of Black that is supposed to be released with this colection.
Huh, MAC has a black besides Carbon ?? J/K, glad there’s a new black coming out (finally!), and I don’t think it can look any worse than Carbon
Ruddy and I’m Into It look rrrrreally beautiful.
At the Macy’s near me they had all but 4 or 5 of the eyeshadows available. I bought Ruddy, I’m into it and Up at dawn. The pigmentation was excellent. I waiting for Oh my mocha to come in. They said the rest should be on the truck after the holiday.
WOW, bright!
I swatched Zinc Blue, I’m definitely going to get that one with my empties.
