Shiseido Tawny (BR 735) Perfect Rouge Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches
Shiseido Tawny (BR 735) Lipstick
The Sultry Season: Shiseido Tawny (BR 735) Lipstick
Shiseido Tawny (BR 735) Perfect Rouge Lipstick ($25.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a warmed up caramel brown with a hint of coral. It’s semi-opaque and finishes with a noticeable glossiness. I have always felt that Shiseido’s Perfect Rouge is rather under-appreciated, because it is such a flattering formula.
my thoughts on the formula: It’s moisturizing and applies evenly, while it wears for about four hours before beginning to fade. It is also scent- and taste-free. Perfect Rouge has a really beautiful color range and ranges from semi-opaque to opaque in color. The finish is a semi-gloss with very subtle micro-shimmer.

That looks great on you!
Gorgeous! Just curious – why 28/30 instead of 30/30 – are there any downsides to this lipstick formula?
Could wear a bit longer! 🙂 I am very hesitant to give products 30/30, though, as that is like the perfect product and it is a rating reserved for a very select few!
You’re right shiseido lipsticks have great texture what bothers me is the limited palette of colours
I love this colour. I think I need it. I’ve been looking for a colour like this for a while. Thanks for the review, Christine!
Oh man, that microshimmer brings it home! I’m going to have to swing by my local Shiseido counter, now! I’ve never tried their lipsticks before, but I’m always on the lookout for good lipstick formulas.
This is an amazing color. So very complimentary on you especially. Thanks for bringing this product to light. I rarely pay attention to Shiseido, but I will now!
I love the Shiseido range, but I find it hard to choose colours by myself.
Reminds me of Revlon’s coffee lipstick, which I love.
Way back in the 90s Revlon had a lipstick called Coffee Bean that I just absolutely loved, and this reminds me of it slightly only this Tawny’s a lot shinier than the Coffee Bean and Coffee Bean was a lot more shimmery than this Tawny. I dropped revlon a lot after they kept the names of some colors but reformulated or changed and lightened up alot of their colors back in the Noughties (00s).
Looks awesome on you but would not go well with my pale complexion and it’s a little bit pricey.
Tawny’s pretty Christine. It looks like Mocha that was repromoted, or whatever, in the MAC MIckey Contractor collection.
I’ve always thought Shiseido made some great lipsticks, I particularly love their red one. Their other makeup range and skincare is great too, although taking a flash picture with their foundation on can be a pretty scary look (intense white face!).
Great color on you.
OMG I NEED THIS
Bought PK 303 today, wears very nice, very moisturizing and it lasts quite oaky for such an moist formula. Darker colours last longer. They have just a tad of shine that looks natural. Love them. In germany they are also a few Euro cheaper then the rest.
