Shiseido Pixel Pink, Botan, Pink Dynasty VisionAiry Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Pixel Pink (205)
Shiseido Pixel Pink (205) VisionAiry Gel Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage, which could have applied more evenly and been kinder to my lip lines and lip texture. I felt like it caught on imperfections I was otherwise unaware of!
The texture was smooth, lightweight, and creamy, almost melting as it was applied, which made it comfortable to work with. It “set” slightly to a less emollient version of itself, so it felt clingy (but not in a bad way) and didn’t slide around while worn. It stayed on decently for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$26.00/0.05 oz. - $520.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "high levels of pigment" for "cushiony, comfortable, weightless color" that lasts for "six hours." They had rich color coverage in a single stroke, just as promised, and they were creamy and emollient, which made them comfortable and easy to apply on my lips.
The formula has a slight set to it where it is less emollient and clings slightly (but not uncomfortably), so it loses some of the initial slip, which ultimately helps keep the product in place better and for longer. Over time (about an hour or so), the shine wore down a bit and the consistency felt a little tackier, but most of the shades lasted for six to eight hours and some of the mid-tone and deeper shades made it through a meal adequately.
The formula remained comfortable to wear, kept my lips hydrated while worn but they often felt quite good even a few hours later after a shade wore down. There was no discernible scent or taste.
The biggest downside to the product is that each tube contains a mere 0.05 oz., which is absolutely tiny relative to most traditional lipsticks (contrast this with the also-just released ModernMatte lipstick, which is the same price but contains 0.14 oz.).

Botan (206)
Shiseido Botan (206) VisionAiry Gel Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium pink with moderate, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had good color coverage in one layer, which was buildable to nearly opaque coverage with a little extra on top, but it was emollient enough that it was a challenge to get really even application–especially along the edges.
The texture was smooth, creamy, and lightweight, and it felt almost like it was melting against my lips during application. The formula has a slight setting characteristic, so while it had a glossier finish initially, it felt less emollient (clingy in a way, just not in a bad sense!) and didn’t slide around when worn with a light tackiness to it. There was still light shine present but that wore down after an hour or two. This shade wore well for five hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.

Pink Dynasty (207)
Shiseido Pink Dynasty (207) VisionAiry Gel Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a darker pink with moderate, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single pass, which adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging on them.
The consistency felt smooth and creamy with moderate slip initially, but it set slightly to a tackier, clingier finish that had a bit less shine (that eventually wore down to true satin, about an hour into wear) but wasn’t uncomfortable wear–and no sliding around either! There was a smidgen of product that sank into my deeper lip lines that I could see in the close-up photo but not in person. It lasted well for six hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Well now there is an internal tug of war going on between Shiseido Pink Dynasty vs. Givenchy Rose Dressing!
Something about Pink Dynasty is really tugging at me, though. It actually looks better than Rose Dressing for some reason. Like smoother?
Give me all the pink! Botan and Pink Dynasty stand out in this Shiseido range to me. Actually this just made me go put on pink lips cos it’s beautiful outside. Spring vibes~
These look really nice! However I won’t be able to pull them off.
I like all of them!! They are gorgeous!
Pink Dynasty is certainly a vibrant pink shade – this is great for all the pink lipstick lovers.
Yes to Pink Dynasty! I usually find it difficult to pull off pink shades; however, Shiseido pinks pull through for me with their previous collections.
Was just admiring the beauty of Pink Dynasty and wondering…is this the one I cave on for $26 for .05 oz. of product? Then I see Revlon’s Pink Velvet as the first dupe at 95% match which I just ordered last month per your review but haven’t tried yet…and I think…no, not today Shiseido. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful site, Christine.
I’d certainly try the Pink Velvet first and see how you like it! 🙂
