Round-up: Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powders
Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder
Milani Afterglow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is powder highlighter that’s supposed to have a “radiant finish” and is available in seven shades. The consistency was similar to a lot of other “gelee” highlighters: smooth, soft but more firmly pressed (where there was no powderiness but was still pigmented) with semi-opaque to opaque coverage and a frosted to a metallic finish. Some shades emphasized my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn heavily. This formula will be most suitable for someone who likes an intense, more metallic highlighter and warmer-toned shades.

Those straight A’s are very satisfying.
Very few formulas and releases this consistent. Good on Milani for producing such a solid line! (Now, a cool-toned shade expansion of equal quality would be great!)
I so agree with you, a cool toned collection would be great!
I have never really used Milani, but these look gorgeous! I’ll have to check them out.
Straight A’s!! Wow, so impressive at any price!!
Afterglow is my favorite out of these. And ALL are very impressive with straight A’s across the board! ?
I was thinking how great it is not to always have to spend over $35 to get a quality cosmetic item…..Milani, NYX make our lives better…Thank You
I’ve got to get my hands on those Milani highlighters, love them!
Absolutely outstanding products and value from Milani. I love this brand.
I’m so happy with the one I have in Afterglow. The packaging is not luxe – but certainly better than anything else I’ve seen at the drugstore. Goes to show you don’t need to spend $40 and up on a good highlighter!
Will be on the lookout for these Milani highlighters. Your verdict is impressive, and the price is right!
I have a question about the round ups, Christine. When I am looking at a round up, I have been assuming they are listed in order of rating (for example, your top pick/performer is #1, the second best pick/performer is #2, and so on). When I was looking over the reviews of these Milani Highlighters, I noticed that the one you recommended is actually #4, Moon Glow. If Moon Glow was your favorite of the bunch and they all got an A rating, why wasn’t it in the #1 position? Or in other words, how do you choose the ranking of products in a round-up?
Hi Tammy,
The round-up is by highest to lowest rated (which would be based on raw %). “Temptalia Recommended” has nothing to do with the rating – it’s a subjective label that means that I, personally, really loved it on *me* and recommend it.

I’m so impressed that Milani did such a good job on these.
Although I know I’m supposed to get for my cool skin the first or second range of colors I’m looking at the Glowing the darkest. Looks gorgeous! Need to see them close and know will be getting more than one. Beautiful! One more highlighter I don’t need but my heart melts for them. Lol! How can a girl resist? 😉
Awesome, all A’s!
