Milani Glowing & Moon Glow Strobelight Instant Glow Powders Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Glowing
Milani Glowing Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a medium copper with a warm, golden sheen. It had opaque color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin, blended out easily, and had a high-shine finish. I found it accentuated the look of my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn at nearly full coverage. The powder had a smooth consistency that was soft but not powdery in the pan. The highlighter started to fade on me after eight hours of wear.
The formula is powder highlighter that’s supposed to have a “radiant finish” and is available in seven shades (you can view swatches of all shades here). The consistency was similar to a lot of other “gelee” highlighters: smooth, soft but more firmly pressed (where there was no powderiness but was still pigmented) with semi-opaque to opaque coverage and a frosted to a metallic finish. Some shades emphasized my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn heavily. This formula will be most suitable for someone who likes an intense, more metallic highlighter and warmer-toned shades.

Moon Glow
Milani Moon Glow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a soft, pinky-peach with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. This shade was more metallic than the others in the line-up, but despite the very reflective finish, it still seemed to provide a smoother overall look to my skin and did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture, even when worn heavily. It was richly pigmented, which was controllable (lighter touch to pickup less product), blendable, and long-wearing with eight hours of wear.

Glowing is GLOWING. it’s STUNNING. oh my gosh!!
It’s exactly what I want/like in a bronzer/highlight! !!!
Woohoo!
I need MOON GLOW in my life now as well. *_*
It’s a stunning shade!
Thank you so much for posting this review! I’ve been wondering about these highlighters and wanted to hear your opinion on them!
No problem, Lori!
Moonglow looks utterly amazing! If I didn’t already have OtherEarthly and ABH Forever Young, I would definitely be buying this beauty. Funny how even though I’ve got warm leaning neutral skin, I love these cooler toned highlighters!
You are covered 😉
Very nice, loving the value!
I love how many affordable highlighters exist now!
Christine- Out of all the Milani highlighters you’ve reviewed, which would be best suited for pale skin? I’m looking for a realistic healthy glow, not oily or too shiny. Can you recommend one shade?
Afterglow/Moon Glow are likely the lightest in color. I wouldn’t say that these are subtle, though, so you might still find them “too much”!
Same question here thanks so much for answering. I’m a cool pale cucumber myself. Lol! Thanks. Hard to choose I love them all. I already have the Physians Formula shimmer strips wondering which one would be very similar to avoid getting same color. Love those too very beautiful soft sheen/bronzer or blush!
These highlighters are sensational for the price – both of them would suit a range of complexion shades.
They are great!
Oh man, Milani’s knocking this out of the park! I think I need Moon Glow, it’s so pretty.
These are really good!
Wow, so impressive this is scoring as good or better than dupes that cost 2-6x more! Go Milani!
They have been fab so far!
Thank you for the reviews. These highlighters look stunning on you! The Orgasm lipstick looks great too! Do you have a different blush on your right cheek? I didn’t see any cheek color listed in your “makeup look” list below the review. Sorry if you’ve addressed this previously.
Both of these are such a great value! Glowing in particular is really something.
So lovely! Milani is killing it with these highlighters!
They did a fab job!
I’m loving these! This one might be too similar to Bobbi’s Pink Glow, which is one of my favorites so no surprise I’m into this one. But… over the summer when I really want a new highlighter I’ll be looking at these and the NYX liquid ones. Yay for drugstore finds!
Two more gorgeous highlighters from Milani, they deserve applause.
I totally agree, Betty! 🙂
I knew you would love these!! I have Afterglow and Moon Glow and they’re to die for!
They’re awesome!
They look amazing! And affordable ! I have some dupes tho?
