Chanel Terre Brulee & Undertone Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Terre Brulee (806)
Chanel Terre Brulee (806) Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow ($36.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark coppery brown with warm, yellow undertones and a golden shimmer with a subtle touch of gold sparkle. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, which was buildable to opaque coverage with just a touch more product patted on top, while it was also blendable to semi-sheer coverage if desired. The texture was smooth, thin, creamy without being too slippery, and seemed to take a bit longer to dry down than other shades in the line-up. The latter made it easier to diffuse and blend out some of the edges. Once applied, it lasted for 14 hours without any changes.
Chanel describes the formula as a “smooth-textured cream shadow [that] glides on effortlessly” and is “long-wearing.” There are eight shades (view swatches) released with one (Obscur) being limited edition. Overall, the consistency has moderate slip–emollient but not greasy or overly wet in feel–and feels more like a traditional cream eyeshadow than Chanel’s Illusion d’Ombres. They go on as a thin layer but have fairly good pigmentation. The formula dried down quite quickly leaving little time for blending or diffusing edges, even when working one eye at a time, which was where I struggled. I think some of them tended to work better as lid colors and using something else for a more diffused/blended out crease color. They did, however, wear impeccably for as long as fourteen hours on me–no creasing, fading, or flaking.

Undertone (802)
Chanel Undertone (802) Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow ($36.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a soft, golden brown with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin, even when sheered out. The eyeshadow felt lightly creamy with enough slip to spread across the lid and blend along the edges, but it did dry down fast enough that I would recommend working one eye at a time. Once it dries down, it does not want to move! It wore well for 14 hours without any signs of wear.

I like Undertone but have 4 of your top 10 dupes so it’s something I don’t need, especially at this price point.
You are well-covered in that color territory!
Terre Brulee is beautiful!
It is! 🙂
Both look lovely! With Terre Brule looking gorgeous for a nice one & done quick summer eye look. I do own plenty of dupes for both shades, but nothing with THIS kind of longevity on the lid!
Not even ColourPop?!
I do have CP Weenie, it lasts around 12-ish hours? Longer, if I stay in a cooler environment if wearing in summer.
Oh Terre Brulee is stunning! That would be the perfect one-colour eyeshadow!
It would work well that way!
I like both of theses cream shadows layered with Chanel’s Ombre premiere powdered shadows on top.
Awesome!
I like them both, even better than the Dior Meteore that I have.
Oh, wow!
I quite like both shades though Terre Brule was on my ‘try’ list. It’s good to hear these shades were a little more forgiving than the onea previously reviewed.
It seems like the lighter they are, the more forgiving they are!
A bit meh with these shades – I think if you have the Empreinte Du Desert palette you would have the these colours.
Money saved!
They are pretty, but not my cup of tea.
I’m always weary that cream eyeshadows will dry out long before i finish them. I think I would have to love a cream one so much I’d want to use it almost every day.
Hmmm, maybe I should use the ones I do have 😀
Neither of these are grabbing my attention.
Maybe next time! 🙂
