Editor's Review

Ladyflower is described as a "bright rose-pink." It's a brightened, fuchsia-plum with cool undertones and a luminous finish. It was intensely pigmented and yielded opaque color coverage that wore well for five hours and was nicely hydrating over time. There's a slightly muted quality to the color that makes it less your typical fuchsia but not quite a plum. NARS Marisa (P, $32.00) is lighter. NARS Michiyo (P, $32.00) is brighter, darker. MAC Boutique Pink (LE, $22.00) is lighter, cooler-toned. Givenchy Rose Perfecto (209) (P, $36.00) is lighter, brighter. Bite Beauty Vigne (P, $24.00) is warmer. MAC Heavenly Hybrid (LE, $16.00) is sheerer. L'Oreal Pink Flamingo (180) (P, $8.95) is lighter. Maybelline Hot Plum (P, $7.49) is brighter. MAC Dish It Up (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned. This is my all-time favourite holy grail lipstick. I got it in the Full Frontal Lipstick Stash and fell in love! In person, it looks nothing like the Temptalia swatches, on Christine translates to a hot fuschia pink! It's a softer mauve-based mid-tone pink with a slightly muted undertone making it an MLBB shade (I have pigmented lips) with a flattering boost of cool pink that is perfect for my cool-neutral undertones. All the dupes listed have been hot pinks and fuschias but Ladyflower is more complex. I love everything about this colour, the finish is a creamy satin with good pigmentation, it goes on smooth, stays even with no patchiness or gathering in the lip-lines and lasts well for a cream lipstick (not transfer-proof or hugely long-wearing). I have naturally dry/dehydrated lips and it's always comfortable and flattering. Urban came out with a sheer version, but it just isn't the same, I want the original. Really hope it makes a comeback!
