Marc Jacobs Beauty Violet Femme (82) is a very warm-toned, dark lavender with a sparkle finish. It is a permanent eyeliner that retails for $26.00 and contains 0.01 oz.
Marc Jacobs Violet Femme (82) Highliner Gel Eye Crayon ($25.00 for 0.01 oz.) is described as an "orchid shimmer." It's a medium, pinky-mauve with lighter pink and lilac shimmer. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, but it wasn't the easiest shade to layer as it was drier and tended to skip for me. This is one of the issues I've had with Marc Jacobs' formula: they aren't always creamy, and it can even vary from purchase to purchase of the same shade. Once on, the color doesn't budget at all over a fourteen hour period, and it seemed slightly more amenable to being layered/built-up in practice than when I initially swatched it. The disappointing part is that it is a more unique shade, too. Sephora Collection Strawberry Macaroon (P, $9.00) is lighter and more metallic (but infinitely easier to apply). Marc Jacobs Beauty Jazz(berry) (46) (P, $25.00) is darker. MAC Feminine Edge (LE, $16.00) is lighter, more sparkly, gel. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
It is an innovative waterproof pencil eyeliner. The transformative gel formula allows the richest pigments and the smoothest application for intense color.
