Mars is described as a "deep cherry red." It's a dark, raspberry red with cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency is grainy--almost sandy but not as gritty as true sand--and has a dryness to it that makes it harder to blend without a good base underneath it as it will stick to some places more heavily than others and look patchy.
