Tan is described as a "muted pinky brown bronze." It's a warm-toned, metallic copper brown with warm, red undertones. The texture wasn't quite as smooth as I remember it being, but it will smooth out if applied damp. It was semi-sheer applied dry, then more opaque applied damp. It lasted for eight hours on me.
