Round Midnight is described as a "rich reddish plum." It's a depened, plummy burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had incredibly rich, opaque color payoff both wet and dry, and it's not what I would call buildable (which is how this formula is described)--but you may prefer it that way.
