I absolutely love every Extra Dimension eyeshadow I have (and still crave Soul Serenade which I wasn't able to get when these were LE and sold out quickly). When MAC made some of these shadows PERMANENT (and then started discontinuing them, clearly NOT understand what "permanent" means to those of us who love makeup), I figured I'd better grab this before MAC got rid of it. I am so glad I did because I think it's now (as of 2022) gone again. It's a lovely darker peachy-champagne shade that it perfect for me for all over my mobile lids with something neutral and a bit matte in the crease for a bit of definition. Just a perfectly lovely and useful shadow. Now if only they'd bring back Soul Serenade, my Extra Dimension life would be complete!

Foiling it with a damp brush is like a goddamn dream. The swatch doesn't come close to doing this shade justice when it's in full effect. Only drawback is that it is NOT travel friendly. This is the only MAC product I have where the whole pressed cake has come loose from the pan.

Excellent eyeshadow. Its only drawback is that it can be TOO metallic and emphasize pores when used as a highlighter.

It's a really beautiful shimmery light purple shade. It makes my brown eyes pop. There's only one disadvantage to it and that's the fact that fades after 1-2 hours, even though I always apply a shadow primer. I guess I'll try using it wet and get right back to post my opinion on that

My go-to shade for an all-over-the-lid shade. It's subtle on my NC30/37 skin, so I have used it between daily wear and glam wear.

I am so glad that MAC made many of the Extra Dimension shadows permanent. I was finally able to get the shades I missed in the Alluring Aquatic collection (of which Silver Sun was part) as well as a few other shades. Silver Sun "almost" completes my collection and I was waiting eagerly for it to be back in stock. This is a wonderful silvery green shade. I thought it would be similar to Vex so, before getting it, I swatched both side by side at the MAC counter and this is so much darker and greener while still retaining a silvery aspect to it. As it's the Extra Dimension formula, it performs beautifully when applied with a damp brush, delivering a more deep and intense shading. I don't think I have anything at all like this in my eyeshadow collection and I'm so happy to have it. It's an interesting shade in that, applied dry and used all on its own, it's perfect for hot summer days since it looks so cool and fresh (not unlike the left side of Nars Habanera, though it's darker green than that shadow) but the ability to apply this more heavily or damp for a darker application makes it perfect for autumn, especially paired with a brown or dark grey/brown (like Copperplate or Coquette) shadow.

I am so loving this wonderful shadow and so happy it was repromoted as I was entirely unaware of it when it first was released. While Christine categorizes it as "warm", I find it to be a lovely, silvery taupe brown that leans more cool. It's a wonderfully versatile shade.

I really debated about whether or not to get this shadow. I already have Loaded, Damaged, Fiction and several other "dupes" for this shade and to be perfectly honest, my "need" for this sort of colour (greenish and dark) is pretty limited. But I knew I'd regret not buying it and it is such a gorgeous and complex shade. The "Extra Dimension" formulation makes this colour quite wearable, since it's easy to get a lighter application that is still smooth and even but just not super dark or "in your face". I wear this to work quite often - that's how wearable and versatile it is. Glad MAC made this permanent so more people can purchase (Alluring Aquatics sold out SO fast that I wasn't even able to purchase this).

I was so happy that quite a few of these shadows from the various collections have been made permanent. Silver Dawn is a beautiful, easy to wear silvery mauve-taupe shade that isn't too dark and looks great even in the day time. Applying with a damp brush ups the depth of colour and pigmentation for a more dramatic look and the same colour, used dry on the inner half of the lid and then damp on the outer lid gives a somewhat more complex look while still using just the one shadow.

This is one of my favourite ever eyeshadows. I have used this consistently since I bought it, and I will continue to use it until it's all gone!! It's just such a beautiful shade, it's brightening without being stark, neutral without being boring, and just sooo lovely to wear. I've toyed with the idea of getting a backup for the longest time, but I've never pulled the trigger because I'm not even close to using it up! MAC PLEASE MAKE THESE SHADES PERMANENT!!

This is so beautiful. I knew as soon as I saw this that I had to have it. It's sold out online already in Canada but I was able to get it in-store. A beautiful bronzed gold. To be honest, I don't really understand MAC describing this as green or olive because to me, it is much more tarnished gold looking. In any case, this is beautiful and I can't wait til morning to be able to put it again!

excellent buttery texture, but too much frost and shimmer, to my mind. and I expected smaller size as it was in X-mas release, as I personally do not like huge cans

The duochrome in Opalesse is what caught my eye when I first purchased it, It is a gorgeous off white at first and flashes pink/purple when it hits the light. It is buildable so the white doesn't look too stark at first and looks amazing with a darker purple in the crease. It wears really well over a primer and resists creasing for the most part unless you sweat a lot at the gym or go somewhere very hot and humid. The formula of the Extra Dimension eyeshadows is amazing! I like using them dry or wet and they feel so smooth and rich when you apply them!
